First was my freshly turned Vampire try.

I need a new "logo". I've already got a PhotoShop pro working on a banner for my zombie theme.

This image is from a game, and I'm not going to randomly steal and chop up images from that aren't owned by me. I need to use all original artwork, or at least artwork created with an opensource program. Basically, the logo will replace the little dragon face.

I can get my PhotoShop guy to add the text to the image, if you can create an image that can be rounded and resized to the same size as the dragon logo, I'll have him add the text for my site. I will also want the image to be "dumbed down" and not so big it takes long to load for someone with a slow connection. So high resolution isn't as important as making a pretty image that loads fast.

Here's the look I'm going for:

Tela this is a copy right (not write...sheesh I can type English eh?)  free photo..is it kinda what you would want?  I can play with it and make it more of a round deal if you want and add letters and what not.. just wanted to be sure it is kinda in the right vein. The size of this can be played with and with a black circle in background could be rather wicked I think.  Not as gory as what you had though

I can definitely work with that, Velle. A few drops of blood would make it even better, but it's pretty darn nice as it is. Your stuff is pretty amazing, I have to say.

Anyway, I'm basing my custom CSS on THIS Simple Machine Forums Skin so that's kind of why I wanted a bit of red splashes, to compliment the theme a bit.
(Possibly will have that skin for a DP upload ready soon-ish. I'm changing priorities and getting that done sooner than I had anticipated at first. Just gotta find the time and energy, as usual.)

Though, there could be a red background/black outline and it may achieve the same result of blending into the theme that I'm looking for, as well. And the size, yeah, I want it basically the same size as the default logo, with room to add my site name for the result to be near the 205x244 size.

I see what I can do for red by hand doing it in gimp.  I will try a few different fonts and see if I can find one you want.  Give me a couple of days.

Nice blood and gore idea...but is anybody talented at making like a more holy looking image? I'm thinking of like... a skyshot of someone floating upto a hole in the clouds with a beam of light coming down around them. It's supposed to fit in with my game's theme of people "Ascending" into higher levels of power until eventually you hit godhood.
