Module Title: Money Tree
Module Filename: moneytree.php
Category: Forest Event
Version: 0.75
Author: ThricebornPhoenix
Download: http://dragonprime.net/index.php?module=Downloads;sa=dlview;id=1181

This is a fairly simple forest event. You spot a tree that apparently has leaves of gold and can investigate it or ignore it. Above level 5, with increasing odds, it may be a trap (battle ensues); otherwise, you gain a little bit of gold.

Blame for this one goes to Robert for saying that a money tree was not a viable idea Grin

LOL, I actually have a Money Tree as a forest event in one of the 097 games I have running. Mine pays out only a few coins to the player.

I actually encountered it a couple of days ago... if I had known about that before, I probably wouldn't have made this. I did at least check the downloads section here first, though.

There is an error with this particular download. It's as follows:

Quote
filesize() [function.filesize]: Stat failed for /home/10927/domains/dragonprime.net/html/dls/moneytree.zip (errno=2 - No such file or directory)

A missing gem line after you sell the chains.
Code:
#
#-----[ FILE ]-----
#
modules/moneytree.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]-----
#
addnews("`0A bunch of slavers ran from %s `0in the forest!", $session['user']['name']);

#
#-----[ BEFORE, ADD ]-----
#
$session['user']['gems'] += 1;

There's definitely something wrong there. I don't remember what I was thinking, but I'm guessing it was supposed to be 'gems' instead of 'charm'. Thanks!

Ok you lost me with the charm. Smiley

When you battle with the slave traders and they run away, they leave their chains behind which the text says you sell for a gem. You don't get the gem because of the missing line of code. Smiley

I think you give me too much credit for coherence. Grin

-The text mentioned a gem. There was no gem.
-There was charm. The text did not mention charm.

Odds are I forgot what the payout was when I wrote the text (usually the last thing I do), and didn't think to check it. I have changed the payout to a gem, which is simpler than rewriting the text.

Heh, I never gave any thought to the charm, didn't even notice it to be honest. But now that you mention it, who gains charm after beating slavers anyway, did they compliment my character on his good looks before fleeing or something? lol Wink
