Hi, I have had Legend of the Green Dragon working on a server, but the service provider shut down. I have applied to 9999Mb.com but I have a problem...

the core file does not have an extention... What can I do?

Can I rename the file to core.1 and make all the pages that need it redirect to core.1 instead of core? Someone help!

What "core file" are you referring to? The download available here is a tarball archive... almost all files included are php files... there is no file called "core".

In the Root Folder of My Files There is a file called

core

above that there is

configuration.php

and underneath there is

create.php.

So In my file list (I always show the Extensions of file) it lists

configuration.php
core
create.php
ect;

why does core not have an extension?
this core file is about 10MegaBytes file size!

That file must've come with the host. LotGD does not need it to run. Delete it, if you need the space.

I can't tell you why, but this file definately does not belong to the lotgd core files. Maybe you zipped you files once and forgot to add an extension? (Or your host did... And didn't add an extension (they are useless if you are running a *NIX or MAC system...))

Are you 100% sure that the new host will let you install a php game? Seems like possibly there are limitations on things that you may need access to run the game. Those are php errors, not LoGD errors, so google and you should find what needs to be changed.

Incidentally the 'core' file is almost certainly a core dump - a file created by a program crashing, to be used for debugging purposes. If something's been dumping core in your htdocs directory then something is probably wrong somewhere Smiley (and, erm, your host clearly don't have much clue about correctly configuring a web server, if it's being allowed to actually write out core dumps)
