Kala has been very busy lately with her work schedule, and hasn't been online very much. So I don't know when she will have the time be able to do anything to this module...
Just letting you know so you know it might not be anytime real soon before any changes are made.

Sorry lol, I guess when you put it that way it does make sense, but I still thinking a tie, isn't as good as actual winning, so why not have a leave the battle, and continue it later, or something... Sorry about that. Didn't mean to sound rude.

Tis okay, Raven...and Kala.  I'm not in a rush.  just wanted to put this idea out there, because some of my players DO want this module, and I have told them that, once the requested changes are made, so that some battles don't last half an hour, I'd be happy to then upload the Module.

Some folks who don't know better would be awful upset if their game time got eaten up with one PvP battle.  I know I would be - here I go and accept a challenge, thinking, okay, two or three minutes, we'll see who's better than who....and it ends up eating up half an hour, and denies me thus the ability to finish out my forest fights and stuff, I would be really, really upset.

I don't want any of my players getting sucked into that trap.

oh lol It was 30 minutes, Oh well that's a difference... Even though I'd want to see who would want to win, I wouldn't wnat to waste my whole time in a battle, that's like that I'd like a draw, so I could go on wiht my day to day stuff, or leave and come back when I'm stronger to beat that person.

hope things are okay with your recovery, Kala....just wanted to make a couple of suggestions in case they got buried in here...

1 - a way to set, in advance, the number of battle rounds (the winner being whoever knocks more hitpoints off the other in the allotted number of rounds)

2 - a way to select a "to the death" battle if that is what is wanted, along with a warning to the challenged player about how long it might actually take.

3. a way for both players to mutually end fight - match either draw...or who knocked the most off whom.

4. a way for a player who has had enough to simply forfeit.

5....if possible, instead of a number of rounds...a settable time limit.

In any event, the information about rounds/time limit would be sent, along with the challenge, to the challenged player, who could then accept or reject the challenge, based on any reason they might wish - but they would then go in knowing it may well be a very long undertaking.

Yes.  The package includes a Witches' Cottage you run across in the forest, and you get the ingredients from her.
You also find half-sheets of paper with potion recipes and you have to figure out which halves go with which other halves, to make a complete recipe.

Something is really strange in there...
When i battle someone, I have four of five rounds no damage, and the fifth one point of damage. Does it use to be like that?

I fixed it...
And now its like that:
When two players finished a battle, and they want to fight again, the battle is at exactly this point, where the old battle was...

I've added a few things to this pack

1. Wiseman special to give players hints relating to the magic arena

2. Increased the formula in the battles to speed them up

3. Increased the amounts of ingredients dropped in witchgarden and rainbow quest

Still to come

- ability to hold player based tournaments (eventually leading into clan team tournaments)

- forest drop ingredients

- quit battle early with loss penalty

NB: None of my players have reported any bugs with the above addons, nor with battling in either arena..

um. can someone help please. I installed the files like told to.
However, whenever i go to actually install and activate the module on the server, i get this error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ';', expecting ')' in /home/www/traditionofsin.com/modules/arena.php on line 43

can someone help please
