Well first let me say Long time no see LOTGD peeps been a dang long time since I have been here and then it was as Metaldrago42, anyways!

Right now I'm running a game on 110mb.com so far so good current server specs they give you is:

 2 GB (2000 MB) web space
 100 GB (100,000 MB) monthly transfer
 1 SQL Account (I have never got this with free servers as your SQL size (mb) adds to total amount of space taken up so why restrict the total amount you  databases you can have?)

 for full list see here: http://www.110mb.com/plans.php

I'm running 2 sites atm a GFX forum and LOTGD
http://gfxpressions.110mb.com/
http://gfx-lotgd.110mb.com/

We are having some page load problems but I think this is a known problem with PHP sites on BOX9 of there servers and they are working on it as far as I know.

I did use to use my-php.net but they dont allow lock tables pluse you only get 300mb of space and 100gigs of bw as far as I remember and also now add banner adds to your site.

We are hoping that 110.com works for us untill we can get a paid hosting but so far on the whole its been good pluse they do have a good support forum for the server.

@110mb
To add to this.

I had it myself twice and also know people where this happened:
I got into the page and the database is *gone* completely.

I would recommend *free* space there only if you want a plain testserver.
In any case, do regular dumps.

@BlackHawk

http://www.free-site-host.com's system will automatically delete 90 days inactive users. That's a bad thing if an admin went on a vacation far from an internet connection. But I gotta admit, it's the best free hosting site when talking about disk space and bandwidth.

sorry, but if thats the case, they shouldn't commit themselves to run the game if they only can be online at school or a library. You really need to be able to have access to your site at anytime.

MySQL is no longer free with 110mb.com, you have to pay roughly $14.95 for it or post in their forum 350 times, so would this still qualify them as a free server for LotGD since you have to have MySQL.

http://joolo.com is a good free host, Not much Bandwidth... But it will work for a Small server or a Testing one.

i advise ej.am or x10hosting.com both have a range of free packages to suit your free server needs. Ej.am keeps all its members up to date wheter they are upgrading server and so forth, x10hosting may have some server down yime every so otfen but the bandwidth and space make up for no server access once every so often.

Hi there.

Im gonna try on gigacities, i use it for some time and it seems nice, I'll try it with logd. Very similar is newsit.es but you will need to ask permission before using it to host broser games in there.

I tried GigaCitites earlier today, and had a lot of PHP errors after writing the MySQL database "dbconnect.php" file, so I can't say it worked.

i use http://netsons.org to host my little server
*php 4
*mysql 4 or 5, you can choose one and if you dont like it you can switch to the other one
*200mb webspace & 150mb database space
*unlimited bandwidth
*ftp access (the only way to upload files)
*1 email
*phpmyadmin installed
*no ads
*no query limit
*fast support
*it's free!
the problem, i think, is that it's italian. If you like it, i can help you to create an account (i can translate for you)
