I made a few moduels for my site, but, because other people wanted them, I decided I would put them up here. Most are simple, but effective.

GP Profession Pack
A moduel for a profession. For example, mining and smithing can be done with this, as can skinning and tanning or woodcutting and fletching or any other Gathering and Production skill.
Basically, it puts a link in the forest to a place where you can gather materials, then process them into weapons/armor in the village.

  • Includes 5 blank GP Profession moduels, for creating your profession(s) from scrach.
  • Includes 3 pre-set GP Profession moduels, for either inspiration or lazy people  Tongue
  • Independent profession level, so players can get better and better at their profession(s).
  • Players can either wear their armor/wepaons they create, or sell them to the shop.
  • Half the code in the moduel is settings, and there's a pretty decent ammount of code there.
  • Manage all the basic profession settings, like name, item names and action names (for the text)
  • Manage the shop's stock.
  • Manage the gatherable materials (i.e. Ores, Skins, etc.) by name and profession level required to gather them.
  • Manage Refinable Items (i.e. Bars, Leather, etc.) by name, profession level required, and ingredients needed
  • Manage Createable Weapon/Armor Items, including name, profession level required, ingredients needed, and price for the shop.

DO NOT JUST UPLOAD EVERYTHING AND INSTALL!!! READ THE README!!!
You do not need everything in the pack to use it, in fact, most people will only be uploading one or two of these files.

The Bazaar: Player Owned Shops
A very expandable module that hooks in with other modules' item systems to allow players to set up shops. Other players can then browse and purchase items from you shop. It's modular, so support can be added for any item system.

  • Completely modular, allowing communication with almost any item system.
  • Allows players to browse other player's shops for items.
  • Items in shops are categorized by "shelf", each "shelf" is a seperate module hooking into the items from other modules.
  • Players can set up their own shop, adding whatever items they want from whatever shelves are installed.
  • Players can name their shops, so other players know what they're selling.
  • Players are given the option to open or close their shops, defaulting to closed.
  • No configuration needed, it's plug and play (though some shelves may need configuration)
  • It's even possible to build compitability with the Bazaar into your own modules, eliminating the need for a shelf module.

Clan-Controlled Inns
It's simple really, the clan leader builds the Inn, the leader and officers manage the different drinks and room plans, and clan members can work to support the Inn, and the rest of the players can buy the drinks and rent the rooms.

  • Leaders can build and officers can expand the Inn to allow for more Ale and Rooms.
  • Leaders and Officers can manage the settings like the name of the inn, as well as the different ales and room plans.
  • Leaders and Officers can manage the Vault, add or remove gold from it.
  • All clan members can work to support the Inn, or donate directly to the vault.
  • Anyone can buy Ale to get buffs, or purchase a Room to log out in.
  • Rooms last until a certain number of newdays, the more newdays they last the more they cost.
  • Star system, 1-5 stars, 1 meaning low-cost while 5 meaning high-quality.
  • It's a great way for clans to gain funds and support themselves.

Quester: Generates its own Quests
A quest module that generates its own chain quests.

  • Quests come in chains of multiple missions, as opposed to just one mission.
  • At the end of each quest there is a boss mission to make it more climactic.
  • Completely event driven, so there's no missing the monster if you grow 2 levels.
  • Support for Cities (though not required) to have the quester traveling the world.
  • Different difficulty levels for more challenging quests, either random or selectable.
  • Randomized names (6,707 in total), cities, levels, and types (item or battle)

Weather FX
Requires: Weather by Talisman
Shows rain or snow on the village and garden pages when it's raining or snowing (according to Talisman's Weather module).

  • Uses JavaScript files by Maxx Blade (http://www.maxxblade.co.uk) to display moving rain and snow.
  • Hooks into Weather by Talisman, and will only show rain or snow when the weather module displays rain or snow.
  • You can change the weather string it looks for in Talisman's Weather module when showing rain or snow.
  • This may be taxing on a player's computer, so they can turn it off in their Preferences.
  • Works in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
