Since there was not a place on here where it listed all the unused color codes for sites and with the Custom Colors module Aeolus/The Doctor made I wanted to make a thread that listed all the available color codes.

Eric and JT already give you 39 colors in the core and more and more realms want more colors than that because over the years those colors have become too generic, so to speak.  So here is the list of the other 23 unused color codes. They have been at least tested on v1.1.1. Feel free to test them on 1.1.2 and higher and report whether they work or not.

Unused Color Codes:

8 9

! ? ( - * | + = ~

a A d D o O r F w W z Z

If you know of any that work that I missed feel free to post about them.

Enjoy!

Shouldn't this have probably been posted as the Custom Colors discussion thread...? And also, that particular module also overwrites currently existing colours, so you can use the whole array for it.

You really did miss a lot.

The quotes (both), the (semi-)colons, parentheses (curly and square), comma, fullstop...

S, U, N, I, h, C, B...

I tried h, N, and B and they broke. Callstacked them and so did all of those in the first row you mentioned.

Someone's doing something wrong, then, given that I've used all of those before, and successfully.

Ended up having to use so many characters on TLO, that I started using ~ and ` concurrently for colour codes.

I will test it once more when not a lot of people are online. Then I will try and figure out how to fix it.

Hello there!  Smiley

I have pretty much used quite a bit of the usual color code symbols up! I was just curious if anyone knew of more that can be used? My player base is wanting even more colors despite the 66 colors we already do offer and 6 color fades! I figured it didn't hurt to ask here.

Thanks in advance for any help!

If you've got 66 colours, then I think the issue is needing variety between the colours, not more of them.

Nevertheless, you can use all codes other than the following: ` 0 n H i b n c < > \ " ' (s and u if you do have strikethrough/underline implemented).
