It's a bit redundant since they said that prefixed mysql tables will be supported in the next version of Lotgd.  Well, I was half way through doing it when I found out so I finished it anyway.  It's working for me wonderfully but I would like someone to test it out before submitting it as an actual mod.

Here is breif list of what I did.
Modified all php files that has sql requests to add a variable to the table names.
modified dbconnect.php with a USER DEFINABLE variable.
created a table alteration sql file that can easily be changed for whatever prefix you like.

okay that was really brief.  Would you consider this to even BE a mod?  Or half way useful?  It's not very usefull to me now that I have unlimited mysql databases but a lot of people don't have that luxury.

Who knows what they mean by support in the next version. That might mean ONLY the table prefix they want to put in there, and not configurable but still better then what they have now.  Mine is user definable.  The only problem is, every time you add a mod that uses sql queries, you have to modify them and if they have functions you have to add a global variable to it.

In my next version I'm working (again probably redundant) on an installation script that will install the database depending on if it's an upgrade or a new install.  It will do all the modificaitons to the database for you without having to use a .sql file.

The php files are located here

Code:

I agree that it may be a little too late, as we enter the darkest of hours for .9.7 and await the slow creeping of dawn with .9.8

Otherwise, it's a very cool concept mate.
