So, when I'm anywhere but the Shades, I can access the Superuser Grotto perfectly normally.

However, when I attempt to enter the Grotto from ANY link in the Shades (i.e. Link Exchange -> Grotto, or The Graveyard -> Grotto, or just Shades -> Grotto), it sends me to a blank white page, with not even a "Click Here" to indicated a badnav..

Any clue? xD

Maybe you have something configured in the grotto wrong. Is the link perfectly normal, such as "http://localhost/superuser.php?c=1-1"? Purely white pages are usually made from a bad module, there really shouldn't be a link to the grotto in link exchange, so I am going to assume that you have a module that lets you activate the grotto, no matter where you are?

Yep.. It's perfectly fine!

So, I've worked out I can't access the Grotto at all if I am dead.. I deactivated all my Administrative modules, but that didn't fix the problem- it actually prevented me from accessing the Grotto at all.. Dammit that was annoying, database restores and shiz.

Any ideas..? Huh

Yes...administrator account for administration.

Player account for playing.

Highly recommended method of doing business.

That, and having a second administrative account for when your primary account get's pooched.

Of which I have. I can't access the Grotto whilst dead on any account I am on.

Shouldn't matter.  Your admin account doesn't die.  Your playing account shouldn't need the grotto...

My admin account dies sometimes, so I can, for example, translate something in the Shades. And I'll put it this way.. None of my Staff can access the Grotto whilst dead. Now, if you have a solution, that'd be totally helpful. Wink

Its not the beginning, or the end, that matters.

I think what Talisman was trying to say, is that accounts with staff powers shouldn't play, and our play accounts shouldn't staff...

Well, perhaps you should give more information. Are you badnaving, or are you experiencing a broken module? For example, purely blank pages, are not bad navs, all the time. Pages being blank could be from a missing page_header().. This is pretty much not going to be the problem, especially if you haven't edited the superuser area. What does the URL say? Is it really superuser.php? Does it have an operation at the end of superuser? If you are directing to: superuser.php?op=nonexistant, then you will have some problems. You have yet to put up the code for this link that is causing the problems. So we cannot truly verify. You should not go installing things without testing extensively. If you remember the modules you installed since you have had troubles, then uninstall those, until it works. (Pending that you didn't edit the core.) Then, you can slowly reinstall modules, until you found what is wrong.

It's certainly not a broken module. It's the direct link to the Grotto from the Shades.

What does the URL say? Is it really superuser.php? Does it have an operation at the end of superuser? If you are directing to: superuser.php?op=nonexistant, then you will have some problems. You have yet to put up the code for this link that is causing the problems. So we cannot truly verify.

The URL that I am linked to is http://www.evolutionathens.net/superuser.php?c=62-040655.

You should not go installing things without testing extensively.

I only install each module once I know what it does, plus after testing on my test server.

If you remember the modules you installed since you have had troubles, then uninstall those, until it works. (Pending that you didn't edit the core.) Then, you can slowly reinstall modules, until you found what is wrong.

I am not exactly sure what modules I have installed since then, but I am using a second test server to check each weekly backup I have until the problem starts to occur, then single out newly installed modules.

Okay, now I'm officially confused.

So, it's still happening on my main site, the blank white screen whenever I try to access the Grotto from the Shades. However, on my new test server, I uploaded a very recent backup of the files and the database of my main site, so that I could test it out without affecting the main game.

Curious thing is.. I can access the Grotto via the Shades on my test server (which contains EXACTLY the same files and database as my main game).

Anyone?? Huh

EDIT: Faulty module. ._. It redirected to shades.php whenever I tried to access superuser.php, and because I was already in the shades, it must have confused it..

Also.. Whenever I try to click the 'quotes.png' image in the chat, used from the 'quotes' module, and used to place random quotes at the bottom of the chat, I get the following error:

Quote
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /runmodule.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache Server at www.evolutionathens.net Port 80

However, when I do the same thing on my identical test server, it works perfectly. o.O It it just the host?
