I think I know what your saying Megan... Though I know nothing about rars but if it was php it would need a get_module_setting ("petitionsubjects") then in petition area you need that.

I think so...

[not a coder, yet]

It is PHP, rars are compressed files.

You need to install Winrar which uncompresses it.

Use 7-Zip

It's open source (most of the code is under the Lesser General Public License with exception of some other licensing restrictions) and this single file archiver offers support for WinRAR and a dozen other compression algorithms(gzip, bzip, zip, rar, etc).

No nag windows or ads included.

I'll start off by saying that I second staticobj's conclusion to use 7-Zip. However, I've already explained this to you in a couple of threads*, Ironmars.. Although it is on its way out, I've been using WinRAR to compress all of my modules, even though most don't have the necessary software required to decompress them. Ironmars, you get the 'wierd' language because the document is compressed**, and you are seeing the document the way it looks when compressed. However, it is much better practice to make the documents .zip instead, so users like Ironmars may use them. Have a nice day. Smiley

Yeah...
rar is a compression method, just like zip and gzip are. You have to know those two or you couldn't have gotten this far.
And I also agree with staticobj's recommendation of 7-Zip. It's my go-to decompression software for Windows.
