I'm not 100% sure on this......... but if you enter your computers IP address into the browser on another network computer, it should work that way?

Check your router's port forwarding and permission settings.

I assume you're trying to access the server using the computer's internal (192.168.x.x) IP address?

On the server you type http://127.0.0.1:8888/home.php? and the game starts up, but when you get on a networked computer and try to access the game via http://127.0.0.1:8888/home.php? or 192.168.x.x any thing else you are sent to the "Interne explorer cannot display..." I am not very good with port fowarding, but I will look into that.

127.0.0.1 is your "localhost", and will always point to the computer you're on.  It is NOT a unique identifier for a specific computer on your network.

Your server will have an internal IP address assigned to it by your router, in the 192.168.x.x structure.  You need to find out what your server's IP address is as a start - then you'll at least know you're trying to access the right machine.

Try pinging it from the other workstation(s) to determine you have the right IP and are connected.

The rest of it will come down to your router settings, and quite possibly firewall settings on your server machine.  For those, you'll need to do some research on sites oriented towards those aspects of networking and your router manual.

Ok, Well at least I am well on my way to getting this figured out now. Ok, I know what this computers address is on the network, now time for router settings and fire wall settings. Thank you for the helping hand so soon  Grin

I was able to get lotgd to work on the network beautifully, but other issues occurred. here is what I have done so far. First I right clicked the easyphp icon and highlight configuration, then I selected Apache. I went to line 49 and changed it from "Listen 127.0.0.1:8888" to "Listen 192.168.1.44:8888". This enabled me to play the game from all my networked computers, windows 7 and Ubuntu alike, but, alas, I was not able to access any administrative options, with the message   "Access Forbidden!" and such. So far my attempts at bypassing this only lead to more problems, eventually to the point where I just reinstalled EasyPHP. Ill keep trying to figure it out. EasyPHP was not designed for being used as a server over a network, but it is capable with some know how, as far as I have read.

Any more advice or tips?

Administrative options in what?  EasyPHP or LoGD?  From the machine running as the server, or just from one of the other workstations?

The administrative options on EasyPHP and on the machine thats runing the server. I have since set aside EasyPHP and move to WAMP. It is working beautifully, with no problems as of yet, I have full access to the game from all workstations on the network, which is what I intended. Cheesy
