In response to Sichae asking for a blue skin, I decided to take out some of my blue skins and found they were all lacking in appeal :-(

So ....I decided to make one based off of Ben Wong's Amber skin, except that it is in Blue.
Very cool.. Awesome to see derivations of my work! Cheesy

Will uploading these files that go with the dragon template change anything for the other templates?

OF course, but not the look of the theme itself.

The change in showform.php aligned the form inputs with the text preceding them, but that messed up the admins views in all themes (which can be quite long and reading the title of all the junk onscreen halfway down that screen can be tiresome), so I removed it.

The change in home.php consists simply in adding an extra &nbsp;<br> before the Choose button, which corrects that messy alignment on the entrance page (and that's the only change to it now).

The skin itself is good to go, IMHO. See it for yourself here.

Rather than posting a modified version of a core file, you should post the change required.  This will prevent overwriting more current versions of the file and/or any changes made by site admins.

But I did!! Huh
The change is adding the folowing text
Code:
&nbsp;<br>

...before the input button which reads Choose.
I'm at work without any editor apart from Notepad, so I don't know the line number, but if anyone goes to the VERY END of the home.php file, it's there in plain sight... Smiley

And that's it! Cheesy

I finally got a chance to take another look at this and consider it for the core.

The colors are better from what they were initially, however....

There is a problem with the collapsible navs... They all bunch up at the top.  If you wish to see this problem, you can visit logd-beta.dragoncat.net and create a character there.  I have the collapsible navs module installed and enabled there.

Sorry to say it's not quite solid enough for the core code yet.

Only saw this today.
Yep, for some reason (gonna investigate now Huh) the collapsible handles are out of any <TD> markup. Gotta figure it out by comparing to the Jade skin.

I'll let you know when I get that (and another colour bug I just found with the little Eibwen dialogs) fixed.

Thanks for looking again! Grin

- - - - - - = EDIT = - - - - - -

The handles should be ok now. Smiley I either messed up the Copy+Paste on the {nav} section or the jade version I based myself on was waaaaay outdated! Embarrassed

I also changed the base link colour to make it more readable on the tutor section and added some extra padding to it on my .css

The new skin version can be tested here and if Kendaer adds it to his test server, you'll be able to test there the above mentioned corrections. Smiley

Oh, and thank you, Kendaer, for the altered home.php!!! Smiley Looks neat, only hadn't told you yet! Kiss

Okay, I've been really wanting to try my hand at a skin, so I got the motivation today to do so. Now, the scheme/theme of it is based off of my website: http://freepgs.com/sichae, in case anyone was interested. Tongue

Some good feedback would be welcomed. I am more than willing to change things around, if they are too odd looking.

Mainly... the colours. I personally dislike the yellows, but there's also not much difference between "cyan" and "teal" and the "lime" is a bit hard on the eyes...

I know it's a though one when the background is white... Roll Eyes

Try desaturating the colours a bit. It worked for me! Smiley
You can try iDragon's colours and tweak them, if you like. *shrug*

Cheers!

This is my first attempt at any sort of LOTGD modification. I've started with a simple template mod, created utilizing some current LOTGD template images and based on the Ailean Skin by Ben Wong. Ive posted it here in hopes of getting feedback on ways to improve my future LOTGD modifications.  Wink

So...
I was just wondering: any hope for new "light coloured" skins being added to Centr... MightyE's CLASSIC SERVER in the near future? Smiley

As I don't run a server myself and I love playing at MightyE's server, I can't exactly add my skin there. It'd be nice to have a user-set option for a skin directory!! Grin ...or new skins. Wink

you're barking up the wrong tree.  You'd have to ask there on what they're plans are.

In a word, "No".

The Classic server, as announced on Jan 1, 2006, will not receive any further upgrades, additions or changes.  What you see is what you get.

Sorry...
