Questions and Answers
  • a) What is the purpose of this site?

This site was established in response to the closing of script sharing at the LoTGD project at SourceForge. Our mission is to provide an environment wherein LoTGD modders and enthusiasts may share their ideas, scripts and experience whilst ensuring that credit is given where credit is due, and to the right person(s).

  • b) I've got to report a bug!

First off, you should ask yourself this question: Does it pertain to Core Code or is it a third party module error?

Core Code: Head over to the RAID Forum and post the details of your error.

Third Party Module: Find the original module release thread, not another person posting about the module, and report the full error.

When reporting an error or bug, be sure to include the following:

    • Version of LotGD
    • Environment info: Version of PHP and mySQL, hosted on Linux webhost, localhost using Xampp, easyPHP or....
    • Full Error
    • Descriptive, yet concise, Post Title
    • Where/when the error occured
    • What recent changes you made prior to the error occuring

  • c) Best In-Game Practices

Here are some suggestions to help you avoid problems:

    • Have a backup admin account
    • Test and develop on a development server before making changes to your live game
    • Be careful what administrative rights you give, and who you give them to
    • Check your settings and consider your modules carefully to keep a balanced and challenging game

  • d) I've got an idea for a module/project/script/feature.

Well, you've come to the right place. If you wish to post an idea for a module, please post in: The Idea Place.

If you have an idea for a core feature, you can head over to, and post: Core Development Discussion.

When posting any and all ideas, requests and whatnot, make sure to include:

    • What you want it to do.
    • Some background/story information.
    • Core Code: If you have any code to provide, please show it.
    • Details, details, details.

You may have the greatest idea in the world, but no one is going to answer your call unless you give them at least a foundation to work from.
