Okay well I finally decided to have a go at coding something unique for my game. I created a reasonably simple "toll bridge" type situation, where you have to pay an ogre before he lets you across a bridge.

After you pay the ogre, (all this happening in bridge.php) you get a nav to "Cross the Bridge" that is supposed to take you to another file I've created called forest2.php.

Problem is I'm getting this error at the top of the page when I "Cross the Bridge":

Code:
Warning: session_register(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/shrineof/public_html/lotgd/forest2.php:2) in /home/shrineof/public_html/lotgd/common.php on line 1503

The forest2.php page loads correctly underneath this.

Can anyone help?

Maybe you used page_header() twice?!?

That might be the problem - just my first thought...

Nope, that's not it.  Sad

Here's the complete forest2.php...

Code:
<?
require_once "common.php";
checkday();

page_header("Deep in the Forest");
output("`c`b`&Deep in the Forest`0`b`c");
output("`7You are deep in the forest.`7");
addnav("Return","village.php");

page_footer();
?>

Edit: Something else that might be worth mentioning... The nav to bridge.php is in the Superuser Grotto -- so that not everyone can access it while I'm editing it. Maybe the problem could be caused by this?

 Shocked

Edit II: Okay well I just made a direct nav to forest2.php from the forest screen by editing the common.php and it still produces the same error. I can't understand what I could possibly have done wrong.

 Embarrassed

ehm, okay... u are using 0.97 code... why don't you update to the 0.98 version...

I think it's a lot easier to code your own mods... Wink

(also, i'm not too familiar with the 0.97 coding Wink )

At the moment I really want to stay with 0.9.7.

Thanks for your help anyway XChrisX. Hopefully someone more familiar with the old code can offer me some advice...

Do you have any other mods added?  or is this a new install?

I've added a few other mods over the past few months...

Gardenflirt, Blackjack, Autofight...

This is the first "mod" that I've tried to make myself from the ground-up. A toll bridge that provided a link to forest2.php after you'd paid seemed a nice easy start.

I got the bridge.php part working fine, which is where I thought I'd have the most problems, but the nearly-empty forest2.php is the one causing me the worst problems.

Just delete all the space characters if there is any after the  php closing tag (?>) in the forest2.php

With a chance of 9 out of 10 it's exactly that creepy thing.
