Not sure if this is the right place for this, but it seemed like the best.

I noticed that the drunkard mod lets the player hit the event any number of times in a day, and as soon as my players figured it out, they started moving back and forth through the inn a bunch just to gain charm.  Unless you set the chance to lose really high, people are pretty likely to do that, but setting the lose chance high isn't real fun, imo, so I whipped up a patch to make it once a day.  I basically just copied how other modules do it.  Seems to work fine.  Anyway, there's a file at the link below that should be usable to do a patch, but I'm not real experienced with diff, so it may not be done properly.   Let me know if its wrong (if anyone even uses it) and I'll try again.

I hadn't seen any problems with players doing this on central or my server, but I suppose its possible.

I'll merge your patch (as a max number of times with 0 being unlimited)
I want to thank you however for actually being the first person to submit and honest to goodness *patch* Smiley in a format I could immediately use Smiley

hehe. i guess that includes me. Wink

what 'diff ' format is that? It doesn't look like my Cygwin's normal diff or the rcs diff. I like it!

it was just a diff -u, from the standard UNIX diff command....I'd read somewhere Kendaer saying he wanted them in unified diff format, and the man page said -u was unified, so I figured that was probably at least close to right.  man, info, and apropos are my best friends, with yes coming in a close 4th (wait for a new guy at work to walk away and not lock his box, do a yes 'you have been hacked!', then stand back and laugh while he tries to figure out what's going on)

Hehe.. Sorry Dut, i'd forgotten those, though yours were in old diff, rather than unified diff format.  I just wanted to call out Tholgare's use because it was the unified diff format so people could actually see what it looked like Smiley
