If ya didn't get it by now... you're hopeless...

When I first started off my server, there was a little boy that wasn't able to finish his turns before the newday. So, he asked if I could make a module to help him get his turns done a lot quicker...Well, I just finished it.

-Deposit 5, 10 or all Turns to get 60% of what the normal EXP gain would be for fighting in the forest, multiplied by the amount of turns you put in.
-It may seem kinda weird, but after all, it is for the Warrior on the Go

And with that...I reopen it to the public... http://dragonprime.net/index.php?module=Downloads;sa=dlview;id=35

Hope you enjoy!

Sorta takes the whole point out of playing, doesn't it?  Takes away the risk of being slain, the effort of progressing.  Might as well just make it insta-DK   Roll Eyes

Sorry to sound negative, but really...if that were instituted on Central, for example, and someone used that feature exclusively, how would the merit of their DKs stack up against someone who actually earned the points and titles?

Of course, it's your server to configure how you like, but I know I would never implement anything like that.

Sichae's Argument:

Actually, using this exclusively, would almost never merit a DK. Since using this, you get absolutely no money.

No money, equals no weapons. No weapons equals less attack and defense. No way to beat the Dragon.

Also, you would level up almost 2 times as slow...

Most would find a futility in using it exclusively...

And after all, if implemented on Central, the most a account could get, woud most likely never make them to a level, with having 12 hour newdays and only 10 turns per newday.

On a smaller server, that ran smaller newdays with larger turns pernewday, maybe then it could be abused...

My final post on this subject. I took it for a test run.

My character has 44 DPs allocated to FF's and has 150 Dks. Well, it took her around 8-9 newdays just to get to level two.

Also, calculating all the schtuff out, a Farmie could level 2 on their first day. But level 3 would take another 2 days. Then level 4 would take 3 more newdays. Eventually it will get to take so many newdays before they wouyld even level. Also, they are getting no money, so I doubt they would beat their master. If they dont beat their master, they are stuck. So, after 5 days, they would be open to PvP (depends on what the game setting is) then they would get killed. After a while, the "exclusive" use of this would become extremely nerve-racking and some would seek not to use it.

Version 1.5

Now user can insert how many turns they wish to spend.

Admin settable reflection (default 60%)

Also has been rewritten. Checks for negative numbers. Checks if amount put in, is over current amount of turns.

Version 1.6

Admin on/off for a gold charging for Vypera's services. If so, the amount of EXP gained shall be multiplied by a numeral between 1 and 3, and then will subtract gold if user has the right amount, if not, they are directed out, and told how much gold to get.

Same Link.

Have you reverted back to a dropdown menu in v1.6? Because if you can enter your own value, there were no checks in place to make sure that a user had not entered a negative value, so as long as you had the gold, you could enter a high number and get a lot of exp back in return and you didn't actually need to have any turns left for this to work. Smiley

Code:
$amount = abs((int)httppost('turns'));
That fixed the problem. Smiley

I should add that it was me that found the bug while I was playing on legendofsix.com, but it was Sixf00t4 that fixed it. Smiley
