do you know PHP at all, from the sounds of this post you don't.

unfortunately this forum is not designed to be a newbies guide to modding, merely a place to share and help out others.  By all means ask someone to make a shop for you and if it's a reasonable request it may well be done, but I doubt there's anyone here willing to give up the time to teach you modding if you don't know much already.

P.S. If I misjudged your post, I'm sorry, my intention is not to insult you, just pointing out the purpose of dragonprime.

There already are several shops. For 0.9.8 there are the Kitchen, the Haberdashery, the Trollish Spa, and as I understand it several others in the works. If you want one for 0.9.7 there are piles of them right here in this section. Did you even look Huh Just change the text to suit yourself and make sure you get the maths right in your calculations.

If you want a magical wand that you point and *poof* a shop appears with the click of a mouse, well, no. You actually have to vaguely know what you are doing.

Yeah, what Saucy said Tongue

Umm, yeah, creating a shop isn't as hard as you think it would be. You can jsut take a shop, strips it down and create new tables for it to suit your needs...and apply credit, where credit is due...

I guess...

If you didn't understand anything in the above post, don't try to attempt anything suggested.

Just remember that if you base your new mod on somebody else's code, you MUST give credit to the original author!

::crosses his arms and leans casually against a nearby marble pillar::

You know, a good example would be use the core 0.9.7 code. That's pretty much how we ALL started. Take something like the INN.PHP or the weapons shop and figure out how it works, then add the appropriate NEW fields to create new items in and mod until your heart's content. Once you get it torn apart and things break, ask us here to solve the issues or give you pointers. Remember, the more specific information you give us, the more likely we are to help you.

*laughs*

Personally, the Inn is the last one I would start with as a newbie. Try looking at the Trollish Spa or the Kitchen... there is far less clutter in those, and fewer lines of code.

However, it would have been amusing to see someone battling the Inn code.  Grin

::offers a roguish grin as his blonde hair falls over pale features::

I believe in leadership by example and trials by fire....

And honestly, it wasn't until I tackled the inn that the game started making sense.

 Cool
