I'd like to be able to make calls to the battle.php from anywhere within the game.  From forest special events, mods, IGM's, etc.  Do you think something like that would be possible?  Like having a battle function in common.php and just passing the info needed to determine the outcome.

Ok makes since now Smiley  I'm not sure why more people don't use the battle system to determine the outcome of a fight.  It doesn't really seem fair to the player to do something like:  You've been attacked by Giant Snake, and you die!

Unless of course they really deserve that! Smiley

It depends on where it's used.  Some features offer healthy rewards, and require an offset with a (un)healthy risk.  You're not given an option to accept the gems, nor do you get an option to die  Wink

It's all up to the programmer or admin in the end...

After looking things over and considering the whole scope of things, I guess that you are right.  Sometimes the risk does need to be great.  If the payoff is too great then the game quickly becomes out of balance.
