Soooo I'm the current owner of http://trevoke.ath.cx/ and my server is on http://trevoke.ath.cx/lotgd/

If I enter http://trevoke.ath.cx (note the lack of trailing slash), most browsers will interpret this as http://www.trevoke.ath.cx/ and that does not resolve because it doesn't exist. I could dodge the problem by buying a proper domain name, but, well, ... Others may have the same problem, no?

I did a search and didn't find anything about that in the forum. Maybe I didn't search enough. On to the problem.
I require account activation, and here's what the activation link looks like!

http://www.trevoke.ath.cx/lotgdtest/create.php?op=val&id=[[[string of numbers]]]

As you have guessed by now, this don't fly. I've tried looking at the code for the creation but I've been completely unable to trace it back to how exactly it's created.. So I couldn't change it. Help!

PS : I really hope this isn't the wrong forum.. It seemed right.

The link is created from what the web server tells it the domain name is. This is not a LotGD bug Wink

Check for a ServerName directive in your apache configuration? Or, that your reverse DNS for your primary IP resolves to the right thing?

Btw, I've never seen a browser that redirects in the way you describe - all the versions of IE, Opera, Mozilla, Netscape and Firefox I have available in my web test suite go to your site just fine with no www. You may find that some webapp you have installed is sending a redirect based on ServerName (if the name is wrong).

*nod* Setting was changed from www.trevoke.ath.cx to trevoke.ath.cx

Mea culpa! Thank you!
