Hi to all,
I installed LotgD without problems. But as I tried to load the Login screen, my Browser only showed me a blank page without any error messages. I searched the forum for similar problems, but I didn't find something like that.
Can somebody help me, please?

Do you have access to the error log? It seems that the php error message display is turned off, so you need to track down the error.

I don't know what happened as you described it.

I have acces to phpmyadmin on the server, but not with all rights. (I wasn't for exemple able to  "UNLOCK TABLES" so I had to ask the serveradmins for it.)
How do I show the error message history?

if you have an error.log in the /log folder i.e.

not all webspace provider offer one. (I assume you are on webspace)

usually they display php error messages then.

white screens might also occur if the permissions are not set corretly, i.e. files are not set to "read" for public or folders are not executable.

I can post many blind shots like this but that won't help.

Sorry, I am a newbie with mySQL and so on...I'll try to write more precise.  Roll Eyes
I wasn't able to show an error logfile, maby one of the server admins is able to do that.
(The "SQL process protocol", is that right?)

So, now i solved the problem with the blank page, but now I have an other annoying error:
After I entered my username, the password and pushed the login button, the Browser shows a 404 error.
I assume that there are some necessary files missing on my server?

I think you're assuming right.

Once an install is complete, you can, without any damage, upload the same version over the top. There's no update or reinstall required. FTP them a few at a time if you're concerned that some are skipping on the way. If "a few at a time" is how you uploaded them the first time, it's entirely possible that you have dragged a bunch of the root files into a folder by mistake.

The page that should be coming up is news.php which is in the root directory of your install. The folders you should see are image, lib, modules and templates. The first few files in there are about.php, armor.php, armoreditor.php ... if you're not seeing these as the first three files, a bunch are definitely missing from the root directory.

Incidentally, if you want to post a link to your site, we can tell you whether we see the same thing.
