There isn't really a dedicated area to this sort of modification, so posting it here is fine.  Also, it falls more into the category of a patch rather than a tutorial...

Something which hasn't been addressed, but could cause major problems to some players if you make the level for Dragonhunting fairly high, like 25 or 30, is the lack of armor and weapons of those levels...

I'm using it but I'm making another boss for those who want such a challenge. This challenge is the golden dragon. It'll be stronger and a bit harder then the normal dragon but i'll ad and edge to the game. If you win you'll get 5000 extra gold and 1000 starting exp since you tackle such a terrible beast. May this will add more fun to the game who knows...

you are correct and i guess well that will be the next challenge and wait cant you already add weapons with out having to edit the core files just use the weapons editor?

You can only go up to a certain damage (15) via the Editor. You would have to accomodate the weapons/armor editor for the changes, if you are to have a balanced game.

true but not really i could also make it when i edit stats or the train.php file make it so that instead of gaining like 10 hp every lvl up have it so i gain like 20 and i know how to do that so yea that also is a secondary way

Then, you would have to edit dragon.php around line 109, so that your players don't end up perma-dead. Either way, you have to edit more core code.

To be honest, I'm not really sure why anyone would want to require additional levels before being able to kill the dragon.  Of course, it's your game, so do as you desire...

If you've played in a server such as Classic, you'll understand how levelling can become something of a grind, especially if there isn't substantial additional content added.  Without specific extra interest items added, your players will likely become frustrated at the extended time spent in the forest...particularly with the exponential effects of experience requirements.

In my opinion, if you wish to make the game more challenging, or find that your players are getting to level 15 too quickly, you need to tweak your game's settings to make their ascent in rank challenging, but not frustrating.  Even more importantly, adding special tasks or quests which players must accomplish at the higher levels before being able to hunt the dragon would be more of an adventure than just having to go into the forest, thrillseek and fight.

As you're finding, adding extra levels isn't quite as easy as it originally seemed - there are multiple other aspects which are affected by such changes.  You might find the time and effort spent in attempting to cover off all the required changes (and problems associated when it comes time to upgrade!!!) might be better spent in adding some truly interesting challenges and adventures for your players.

As I said at the beginning, it's your server to do with as you please.  Naturally you're free to continue developing along this path, but I thought I'd throw out some creative thinking here...

I agree with you tailsman for me I added the slaying the dragon as a way to achieve the real quest is to find the eight orbs is the true quest once they found them all their be able to unlock yet another adventure and so on. So the game doesn't end because their's more to it then just that.
