So DarQness suggested this idea over in this thread, and I gladly took it up. So, without further adieu:

The Vampire, a Village/Forest event. Featuring:

  • Requires Basic Alignment Module
  • For additional fun, install Sichae's Vampire race mod
  • Player has 1 in 3 chance of being bitten and turned completely evil
  • If vamp race is installed, the player gets turned into a vampire
  • Happens once per dragonkill
  • Choice of it being a forest or village event

I gave it a 1 in 3 chance of turning the player completely evil just to be somewhat fair. As alluded to above, if the Vampire race module is installed, the player is then turned into a vampire him/herself - provided the DK requirements of the vamp mod are met. Otherwise, he/she just gets really tainted.

Enjoy!

Hehe, you're welcome, DarQness.

Updated to Version 1.1, which fixes a couple of typos, grammar goofs, etc. Link in first post yada yada yada.

Just an idea, but if they already have 0 alignment, why not give them the max? So extremely bad people become *good*

lol... you mean something like... "an angel comes and has a talk with you! she tells you about all the evil stuff you've done! you feel guilty, and confess to her. you feel like a better person!" ?

That'd be the *fair* thing to do...  Grin

Updated to work with Sichae's latest changes to the Basic Alignment module.

Linkage in first post.

I installed this MOD and everything went well until I clicked on the settings. That is when I get the "can't find this page" error. I have looked at the settings section in the MOD and can't see what is causing it to give the error. Has anyone else run into this with this module or have any idea what might be causing it?

bonjour

je souhaite modifier le module afin que la remise a zero de l'alignement ne se fasse que si l'alignement du joueur est positif et pas lorsque celui ci est ngatif

voici ce que j'ai fait, mais, cela ne fonctionne pas

 //           if (is_module_active('alignment')) {

         if (is_module_active('alignment')  && ($session['user']['alignment'] >= 0)){
               set_align("0",false);

une personne sait pourquoi cela ne marche pas..
cordialement

********************************

hello

I want to change the module so that resetting the alignment takes place only if the player's alignment is positive and not when it is negative

Here's what I did, but this does not

 / / If (is_module_active ( 'alignment')) (

         if (is_module_active ( 'alignment') & & ($ session [ 'user'] [ 'alignment']> = 0)) (
               set_align ( "0", false);

someone knows why this does not work ..
best regards

if that is all the code for that if statement,
then it probably doesn't work because its missing the closing part
put ); after setting the alignment.

merci, j'ai modifier comme cela

if (is_module_active('alignment')  && ($session['user']['alignment']) >= 0){
               set_align("0",false);
            }

mais, pareil, que l'on soit positif ou negatif, on revient a zero apres la rencontre du vampire.
mais, merci quand meme du conseil

****************************

thank you, I just change

if (is_module_active ( 'alignment') & & ($ session [ 'user'] [ 'alignment'])> = 0) (
set_align ( "0", false);
)

but like that one either positive or negative, it returns to zero after the meeting of the vampire.
but thank you even when the board

The alignment is a user pref for the alignment module, you wont find the amount in the player's session. $session['user']['alignment'] will not exist.

This will work.
Code:
<?php
if( is_module_active'alignment') )
{
    if(
get_module_pref('alignment','alignment',$session['user']['acctid']) > )
    {

set_module_pref('alignment',0,'alignment',$session['user']['acctid']);
    }
}
