i'm planning on raising the max level on my server by a lot, so i was wondering if there is anyway of changing / giving them the choice of changing, people's race and speciality at a certain level, instead of getting DKs for them, i was thinking of adding a bit for level instead of DK in the race modules but i dont think race works the same as speciality

You are right. You would have to make this a module.

Reset the race field at a certain time... i.e. if he reaches level 20 or so.

Yet ... raising the total levels will result in a couple of core changes... be aware of that.

i've tested the core modifications up to level 2000, using masters too, it works, but i have no idea how to setup the race change. i've had a look through some race modules but none of them have the set DK needed for them, so dunno how i could make it use levels. if anyone has a mod or knows of one, i would love to use it Smiley

As far as I know there is none.

I don't know a server that runs with more levels than standard, you would have to enter more weapons, more monsters, make several changes as I said.

Therefore there is no such module. For the normal gameflow, it won't be good if users can change their race within a dk turn.

technically spoken, the easiest way to reset the race is to the following line in a module:

"$session['user']['race']='';"

then, at the next newday, he can select a new race.

you need to introduce some user prefs to this module, like "how often changed races this phase" or the like.

if you delete the race (like above) you need a condition if he has yet resetted as often as he should with his current level.

this should be reset at the dragonkilltext hook.
