Ever since upgrading to 1.0.6 I'm noticing my webserver will occasionally slow waaaaay down to the point of page gen times being above 30 seconds.  Once now the hosting company was suspended my account because forest.php, village.php and list.php have utilized over 90% of the processor. What can I do to troubleshoot or fix this? Any tips?

PS here is the email I got, if it helps:

Dear Customer,

We have suspended your site "comfortablydumb.net" due to high cpu resource usage. It causes high load on the server and other domains work slowly. This is againest to EHostPros AUP/TOS violation policy.

Here is the logs info :

======================================================
comfor82 comfortablydumb.net 32.32 21.33 21.2
Top Process %CPU 55.0 httpd [www.comfortablydumb.net] [/logd/list.php?page7&c1-223037]
Top Process %CPU 47.6 httpd [www.comfortablydumb.net] [/logd/village.php?c215-011449]
Top Process %CPU 46.6 httpd [www.comfortablydumb.net] [/logd/forest.php?opsearch&typethrill&c508-040955]
======================================================

Ok so maybe not 90% cause I dont know how many processors the server has...but still pretty high.

Is this a vanilla installation of 1.0.6, or are you running a number of non-core modules?  It's quite possible that a non-core module is hooking into those pages and causing the problems.

Yah I am running a bunch of non-core modules.  Is there someplace I can check to see which ones might be causing this? Would it come up in the webalizer error logs?
