Looking through my database, I noticed some extra fields in the modules table. They are description, type and extras. I can figure out what the first one is for, but I don't think any of these are used in the acutal code. Only 8 out of the 231 modules I have installed have descriptions, but they only show up in the files and the table.

I was wondering, why are these there if they code doesn't use them?

Description is a hover-text, with a short summary of what you module does.

But for the other two I cannot find a use, too.

Looks like those were something Eric or I had intended to use and never actually used.

They can probably be removed post 12/31 release. (just remove the lines from lib/all_tables.php and they will vanish from the DB on the next install/update after)

I finally got round to doing this. Heres the modified about.php + modules.php. They now include descriptions.

In modules.php, description is only for uninstalled modules
