[size=0.5]LotGD Forum
Status: Extreme Beta
This is a new forum based around ideas suggested and created in this thread.
It contains new and old features from the previous version, created by Lonnyl. It will import old threads. Some important notices:
  • This is currently a BETA module, and in development - please use this only on a development site site
  • No guarantees are made about the workability of this code
  • There is a list of some of the things I will be implementing in the module, but only forum admin will see this, so don't worry!
  • This isn't compatible with the latest avatar module by Sichae, or Gravatars- I'll be adding support for this when I look at the code
  • Enjoy!
I've put this in completed modules because the current code does work, even with the scary notices above, and throws up no errors or beta notices.

Can guests view it? I see that there is an option for it... is there a link that goes straight to it?

found two bugs while testing ...

 - offlineplayers are able to delete posts !

 - got a blank screen when trying to read messages as an offlineplayer

didn't have the time to look further ...

It's a great module, a must have for every server I think.

Yeah- I'm going to especially be working on this from friday onwards- I won't have much more time this week.
I could've sworn I'd fixed the first one, but then I had two copies of this module [never try to work with multiple servers].
Anyway, just to let you know, love the comments:)

No, but I have already noticed this bug. This module does work, but is extreme beta and is not recommended for use on a normal site.
There is a great version available here which you can use while this is being developed [while I was developing this some great features have also been added which I am enabling support for]
I'm going to make you some SQL to run from the grotto before/if you install this to put posts back in the correct format for that module:)

  • Today at 09:00:45pm
    Haven't made the SQL yet, but have just updated this module to fix some of the bugs and repeated code.
    This is version 2.000000000.1. Grin
    Stupid numbering will stay while it's in beta.
  • Most recent.
    Put this into a list to not fill up the thread...
    This is version 2.000000000.2.
    Changing the navbars.

I just happened to be running random searches on Google (I get bored easily) and I tried to view a thread on another person's lotgd site and received the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: forum_image() in /home/warpig/public_html/taf/logd/modules/forum/forum_thread.php on line 86

I'll tell you if I encounter any errors, I need to upgrade my version of lotgd still so this module just yields a white page on my test site.

EDIT:
This only occurs if the thread has at least one post in it (loggedout user).

One possible solution is to insert this line before line 86 of forum_thread.php
Code:
require_once("modules/forum/forum_image.php");
I don't know, if it is the best way, but it works.
