Upon reaching step 7 during installation of 1.0.5, I receive the following:

Writing your dbconnect.php file
I'm attempting to write a file named 'dbconnect.php' to your site root. This file tells LoGD how to connect to the database, and is necessary to continue installation.

Unfortunately, I was not able to write your dbconnect.php file. You will have to create this file yourself, and upload it to your web server. The contents of this file should be as follows:
<?php
//This file automatically created by installer.php on Nov 25, 2005 07:17 pm
$DB_HOST = "localhost";
$DB_USER = "********";
$DB_PASS = "********";
$DB_NAME = "3mythics_LOGD";
$DB_PREFIX = "3mythics_";
?>

Create a new file, past the entire contents from above into it (everything from and including <?php up to and including ?> ). When you have that done, save the file as 'dbconnect.php' and upload this to the location you have LoGD at. You can refresh this page to see if you were successful.

I have created the file and checked for extra lines or errant entries. However, I continue to get the same info on a refresh.  The files are created and and accessible but not completing the step.  I have complete control over my server and MySQL services.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you entered the correct user name & password it should work fine.

However I see you filled in the db_prefix

I've installed the game numerous times over and never fill in the db prefix and dont have a problem.

Sometimes its best to delete the dbconnect.php and start over

Refreshing will give you the badnav page. You need to click on the link down the side.

Your webserver does not have permission to write the file on your system.

Either change the permissions on the directory, OR follow the instructions which are in the text on the page.
