Ok this is my problem, in games settings I show
Dwarf
Elf
Felyne
Human
Storm Giant
Troll

But when I go to create a new character I only see
Dwarf
Elf
Human
Troll

I am sure somone will know the answer to this right off, but I can seem to figure out why I cant see the other races when I try to creat a new character?

You may not have the required DKs. You could have Isle of Wen installed, which blocks modules.

Storm Giant requires a person to purchase the blood from the Lodge in order to change to that race.

So I have to remove the Isle Of Wen to use any mods?

If so is Isle of Wen a mod that I deactivate?

You can deactivate the Isle of Wen module. To run other modules, you need to be off of the Isle of Wen. But, creating a new character would result in a blocking of modules for the users, thus no races showing.

It should be under General, as newbieisland. No, it will not mess anything up. Players there will/should be dumped into your capital.

The isle of wen is called "newbieisland"(.php) and is used to keep gameplay for beginners as easy as possible... So they don't become oveerwhelmed by too many options.

If I leave it active, will all my other mods show up when they leave the ilse?

Also Once they leave the Isle of Wen they will have access to the other Races. To change your race anytime after leaving the Isle of Wen, go to the Inn and talk to Cedrik the Barkeep

But as Sichae said some races (especially add-ons) are DK specific and only show up after that player has a certain number of dragonkills. It is a setting in game settings / by clicking on each race. Some races have city settings as well as other modifiers. I would suggest doing alot of exploring in game settings. It will answer many questions you may run into.

part of the reasoning behind having certain races become available after a set amount of dks is to hath little perks for players who hath been playing awhile to look forward to.  kind of a carrot to hold out to them as a perk.

as well as, having things in your lodge as bonuses, such as the storm giant, for donating to ye in various ways.

it helps keep the game from being stale of you hath little things appear incrementally as players reach certain dk ranks.

If you can hang on to it a little while, there is an addition coming coded by MightyE that puts the Degolburg chat into the Wen screen so that people on Wen aren't all alone.

NewbieIsland is actually great because players only have a handful of items they can see. It lets them learn to play the game, and when they know the main items, they can move on and see the rest of the lands. Our feedback from farmies was that it was "too hard to play" when they first started, and that's why we came up with it.
