To start let me mention that I'm new to this coding stuff. But having read through lots of code from many mods I might be getting the idea of how it works.
So there a few things I'm currently working on in v1.0.4.

Two of which I have little idea of how to do.
The first is add a fight to % of life function. I believe Sun posted something to add this function to v0.97 by editing the prefs.php and battle.php  with the current update v1.0.4., this set of code changes will not work as the code has completely changed. I assume that many will not address this but I'm asking anyway for direction if anyone has a clue.

The second thing I would like to do is work on adding the guards for the inn, as they are waiting to be added. At the moment I'm looking at mods that might have similar effects and the code for mercs to see if I could borrow some of it. Again any ideas or directions would be nice. If everything works out for me I expect during my christmas holidays I'll be able to get the code working unless I grow tired of coding or find it over my head.

Not sure what version you are looking for help with but if it is 0.97.  it is  no longer supported.

I'm looking for help with the current version 1.0.x
at the moment it's 1.0.4

I knew how to editing the battle prefs for 0.97 but seeing that I started with 1.0.3 I can't use the old changes to edit them.  Unless it's possible to switch the current prefs with the old prefs? Yet I feel that would make my life a lot more difficult.

I am aware that the older versions are no longer supported but thanks for reminding me. Also sorry if my question was unclear. I'll edit my first post a bit.

Don't forget that using v97 core code with v1.0.x is a violation of the license agreements.

If you're using code which you wrote and released for .97, then you can bring it forward.

Ah, I didn't notice that.... Well then I can't swap core code then. That leaves editing current code at least for adding fight until hp are x%.

So then any mods that where made for lotgd .9x and before can not be used in any more recent version? Or is it only core mods?

So for example lonnys castle is .97 but runs fine in 1.04 if I ran this online (currently everything is home only) is this a no-no or ok?

Basicly what I would like is along the lines of EVACS LoGD Auto Battle. Yet I don't believe that this code will work in the current incarnation. Then again I am new to coding in general.


I also seem to have forgotten about the use of old code with the current version.

Suddenly I'm have surprise issuses appear that I didn't expect at all.  *finds himself wrapped in yellow tape*
