I'd like to translate LOTGD to portuguese, but I can't find any language file. Is it all in the database?
I'm just asking because I noticed that it comes with some languages (dutch, french, etc.), and maybe it was included in some file...

I've been using Translator Wizard, but how am I supposed to share the translation after I'm finished?

Hi!

No, it doesn't come with several languages.. the basic lotgd you can download is fully English with no other languages. The languages you can select are standard selections, not more... no data behind. If you start translating, it will fill up your database with rows for the language you selected.

If you have something translated and want to share, just use the "push" function to get a text... copy& paste this text into a file name "namespace.sql" where namespace represents the namespace you translated. You can then email it to me and I'll put it in the share on the net.

Portuguese is not a standard language selectable in the lotgd basic installation, you have to edit the .php file (user.php and configuration.php) in order to have Portuguese as a selection. If you do, please let me know what abbreviation you use (two letters) so I can add it to the translation wizard and upload it anew.

Currently, I don't have Portuguese translations yet to share... I received Italian translations yesterday from a friend here on Dragonprime, I am encouraging you to translate Smiley and thank you for your sharing. If you encounter Portuguese servers who share their translations, let me know and I'll put them into the share as well.

If you have problems or questions with the Wizard, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the information. I'll edit the files, then, and start translating (well, I already started, now I'll see where to go next Tongue)

The abbreviation for portuguese is PT, by the way.

Didn't quite get that "use the push function to get a text"... Huh

You have a function in the wizard that's called "Push" ... under the navigation of "central translations".

If you hit the button, you can select the namespace you've already translated and receive a output on the screen. Copy & paste this text to a file (named as I stated in the previous message) and email it to me.

As soon as I get home I can edit the wizard files to support Portuguese in general Smiley

Thanks.
I'm delving through user.php trying to find the right place to edit Tongue
In configuration.php it was easy enough, though.

EDIT: ok, I think you have to explain me how to use this like I was a baby, because it seems I lost what I had already translated Sad
- I reuploaded translator wizard to the modules folder;
- I edited configuration.php to include pt,Portugus;
- I DIDN'T edit user.php because I couldn't find any reference to languages;
- I changed the default language to pt in the Game Settings;
Now I just have to start translating again, clicking on the red questions marks, right? Or is there something I need to do?

Sorry for being a nag, but I hate messing up, even if the game isn't open to the public yet...

ANOTHER EDIT: OK, everything's smooth now Cheesy I had to edit prefs.php to include pt,Portugus, and now I'm translating at full speed.
Thanks for your help. When I have it done I'll send it to you Wink

That post was nearly 6 years ago. If you still want them, try contacting Nightborn via  Nightborn's website. (I can't remember the URL.)
