A forest & travel special where a user can catch the flu.
Also a user can get Infected if another Clansman is sick on A new day..

Admin Settings:

1) Chance of getting the flu from events. - Default 30%
2) Chance to get the Flu from another clansman. - Default 30%
3) Name for the Flu Sickness.  - Default `6Flu Sickness
4) # of Days Flu effect lasts. - Default 3
5) Days user is safe from Flu when infection ends - Default 3
6) Amount of Defense Flu will deduct. - Default .95
7) Amount of Attack Flu will deduct. - Default .98
8) Does flu affect users when fighting Masters - Default Yes
9) Does flu affect users when fighting PVP - Default Yes



*Notes: Well this is my first module. :) I was sick all weekend tring to make my first mod and well, what better then the Flu!

Updated to Ver 1.1 - Same Download

Added 2 more Admin settings
4)Does flu affect users when fighting Masters - Default Yes
5)Does flu affect users when fighting PVP - Default Yes

Also I think I want to make it last for an admin configurable amount of days, instead of rounds. Just like the real flu would last. Sound like a good idea?

hmmmm... a buff that lasts for several days?  Can be a little <cough> frustrating...

considering how a "game day" doesn't really equal a real life day in the sense that you can advance several levels in a game day...

I kinda think of a game day as equal to a real Farmperson's week or so.

just my thoughts.

Each to his own...if an admin doesn't like a mod, there's nothing forcing him to install it.  

While modders are also under no obligation to provide a spectrum of admin settings for such things, it would certainly help the popularity of some modules if they were to do so.

There's also nothing preventing an admin to tailoring a module to his/her tastes before installing it in their game.

I meant "game days", not real days. And it does not have that bad of effect. Also the flu can last for a week or two.

While modders are also under no obligation to provide a spectrum of admin settings for such things, it would certainly help the popularity of some modules if they were to do so.

I think the more settings a module has the better it is, so I will always try to make as much settings in module as I can.

I am working on adding some more feature like buying a cure, being able to spreedi the flu to other clan members.

I really like this idea. The contagiousness of it is nice too. I wonder if you could have the voodoo lady curse someone with the flu.... Of course that would be dealing with editing someone elses mod....

Anyrate I think I'll be added your Flu mod to my current test(home) server. Once I get it running properly again. The whole thing went funny after updating. But now I'm muffining.

Cool, I am glad someone liked it

I wonder if you could have the voodoo lady curse someone with the flu....

I am working on that, I am making a hut the you can got to and you can get some relief from the flu, cure yourself from the flu and infect someone else.

P.s. Look for it in the next week.

ooooo! I like the "get relief idea"... you should give them a wide variety of things (most don't work )...

Zinc
Chicken Soup

I've implemented this mod on my server and I like the approach :-)

currently it is a very limited mod, but thats ok for the moment.

The Idea about infecting other clan members is really great :-)
There is much potential to make a really anoying module, as it should be for a real illness ;-)

Very, VERY interesting...
2 things I'd like to see to make it more evil:
- the infection of the other player when involved in PVP (with a separate customizable percentage of infection - PVP is dangerous)
- the immunity of the player to the flu until next DK

(make sure to uninstalled the old, and then reinstall the new one)

*Added Chance to get the Flu from another clansmen ()

Also if someone whats to suggest difference text to be display in the events (like when you get the flu), just post your ideas. I am not good at that kind of stuff.
