Okay, so far so good Smiley

I made the final (I would yet call it prototype) changes to my wizard. You can now *directly* access the internet and load translationfiles (like sql dumps) for your selected language to your lotgd database (in a new table) and then get to work with it.

I don't want to discuss it here, yet I need help Smiley input... that's it.

I am going to set up the German version based on Anpera's translations.
I need therefore people who would like to add their own translations. They should have a  *very good* quality (no bad grammar and the like...) in their own language. I also need a *final* overview for all languagaes... en=English, de=German and so on... I have to include this in the program.

If you want to add something, first post here.

the file format:

sql dump, non-utf8 (special chars should be preserved) with "enhanced inserts" or what it is called in English...
file looks like:
Code:
MM-DD-YYYY  Verified
('de','intext','outtext','author','version'),
('de',......
and so on
Verified needs to be inserted in the first line. all sql statements in a seperate line (mysql automatically does so). Time format is necessary there to determine the last server update.

the filename is "about.sql" for the about namespace, "module-penguin.sql" for sichaes penguin and so on.

the language is not necessary here, because I store them in different folders then.

edit: criticism and help welcome Smiley

You're more than welcome to fully discuss this in DragonPrime - after all, it's a good LoGD resource so you can expect any support I'm able to give you.

Hehe, okay.

I don't put it in my release ... because simply I have *no* real translation tables at the test site. Smiley I just wait for them...therefore input.

Okay, what the central features are by now (language selectable)(the infos are pulled into a temp_translations table...to make it easier to cope with many rows):

this is how you do it:
-pull several namespaces (core included and then it reads out your modules table) or just all who are in the untranslated
then either
-insert all rows from the pulls where you don't have intext, language, uri in your translations yet (automatically)
-translate one by one your untranslated using the pulled rows

that's how it works. I don't have a "I need rows for module xy, please server send me yours" features included, because I do not want a active server for the tables. Therefore I have files that are just pulled into the table.
You can also manually do what you want with the rows then....

The main idea is: to bring up a "setup up lotgd in your language in less than 10 minutes"
What I mostly need: Translations from *any* language Smiley

Now let's discuss Smiley

Hm, maybe I should release it ... and then wait for files  Tongue

I still wait for the German part Smiley and Anpera's table which another admin now fixes.

Any volunteers for French or other languages?

Okay, I grabbed Anpera's translations and fit them in.

Now it's operational for German.

Going to write in my wizard thread about it.
