I load a module..go to the link (Say Bluerock Chapel for the Marriage module, for instance) and all I get is a white screen.

It's supposedly the latest version of it..and the other 40 or so files..

Is there a patch we don't have, or am I just unlucky in my module gathering? Or..?

It seems your server is configured to not show error messages. So instead of seeing the error/fault in the module, you just get a blank page.

Interesting..and very likely EXCEPT..
We DO get error messages from other files that don't work. We also get files that automatically run..at the install module area of the admin section.. and black screens!

..it's like a disco party- a sucky one.

Hmmm maybe the file is missing a page_footer()-call... Wink Check for this... If it doesn't have this call, it will not display anything... Smiley

EDIT: You should also ensure, that you have the latest version of the module installed ...

*laughs* I figured that'd come up sooner or later.
It's 1.0.3..

Wink I'll go check out the footer idea.

Edit: Righto! That fixed that one, I'll get to looking at the others and seeing what they need.

..weird, though. Can you explain to me WHY that worked?

Edit2: And now the 'Love Shack' part of the module isn't showing up..? Tongue All these faulty modules reminds m of the good old days of downloading roms, and of downloading music off of Kazaa.

Yes, I can...

Oh... eh..
Okay: The page_header()-function prepares the variables for output and so on...

output(), output_notl() and rawoutput() just add content to a global variable called $output. Until now nothing has been sent to your browser. This is done by page_footer(). This function send the content of $output to your browser (after some refining) so it can display the HTML-stuff... Smiley

not knowing if ye are already or not, but i would suggest reading each thread associated with a module thoroughly to determine if it is stable, the most current version, and what bugs/fixes ye may encounter upon install.

More or less, I have been. That is to say- as much as I can while still spending unholy amounts of time working on our lotgd.
