Module Name:  lumberyard.php
Category:  Forest
Worktitle:  The Lumber Yard
Version: 5.22
Author:  DaveS  with help from Chris Vorndran
Date: August 1, 2005

Required Modules:
None

Additional Modules for full function:  orchard.php, bakery.php
Module should function without their installation

Credits:
Thanks to Sixf00t4 for the module concept and test server use.
Thanks to Chris Vorndran with help on the orchard.php interaction programming.

Description:
Fight Bears! Lumber Jacks! Get Poison Ivy! Meet Garden Gnomes!
This is a somewhat involved module that allows players to chop wood. The module works as a standalone with the wood sold at a setting price. However, additional modules may be linked for other uses of the wood.

Every so often the Lumber Yard is clear cut.  This requires additional work by the player to replant the Lumber Yard.

The Orchard hook causes the player to "accidentally" chop down a tree from a random player's orchard.  (The orchard owner must be at least on the 3rd tree.)

Excellent! Will give this a go! Wink

BTW: Where do we find the orchard.php? I found the bakery.php to go with this but no luck on the other one.

Thank you, Elessa. Wink

I was looking for orchard, not fruit orchard.

Thanks again. Wink

Code:
      $cost=($sell * $squarepay);
      $session['user']['gold']+=$cost;

might be because $squarepay is set in the lumberyard_run ... but the sellsquare function doesn't have it. therefore you have to add

Code:
   $squarepay=get_module_setting("squarepay");
after line 1295 or so Smiley

try it.

Sorry about that everyone... okay... here's what happened...

I just started using "increment_module_" and instead of subtracting for a tree it was adding... so of course it would never go down.

In addition, in the sell function, I was missing the line as noted above AND a global $session line in the function.

Thanks for the updates everyone!

Okay... Fixed THAT one too...

What I keep forgetting:  if you use a function, don't forget to put global $session in the new function.

So, we're up to:

v 2.15

Thanks again for all the help!  Keep the feedback coming Smiley
