well what do you think?
personally, i am going to stick with my 9.7 as long as i see it as better as .9.8.  I also plan on running both servers, making my eval server .9.8 once it comes out.

I shall most likely progress with the project. Once .98 finally comes out, I'll let my users play the .97 for a little bit longer, port my mods and evolve some new ones that have been waiting for .98's changes then release it on the server.

I don't intend to keep .97 any longer than I have too. . . equally, there are so many things that .98 addresses and so many contributions I've watched go into the system, I simply can't imagine not just jumping into it once its stable.

Even if that means a game restart. So, for the moment, I'm holding back a few things to add to Legendgard when .98 comes to reward everyone for their patience. I am sort of hoping it won't mean we'll lose the character databases though.

The databases will be preserved.. (IE, there is and will be an upgrade script).

The only things that would be 'lost' in an immediate migrate from 0.9.7 to 0.9.8 on the day it came out would be the modifications to the code itself which you have made.

I will switch over to 0.9.8 as soon as it is available.
I'll translate it into german (don't know if I'll use the translator_de.php for it this time because this pulls down server performance enormously) and adopt all my addins to it which aren't implemented in any way. Smiley

Presumed I find the time to do it of course...
