This module is for Gods/Goddesses(above 31 DKs, though the amount of DKs to get in is editable from the arcadia settings).

It's a place where gods/goddesses, can:

  • Chat amongst themselves
  • Visit any shops or links you put in there**
**All the shops/links are editable in the Settings, there are 10 of them that you can have. The default 5 that appear are:

  • MightyE's Weaponry
  • Pegasus Armor
  • Ye Olde Bank
  • Merick's Stables
  • The Inn

Those are also editable aswell, you can have no links, or upto 10 links.

It automatically puts a link to the forest though, as it is part of the, "travel" in Arcadia.

There is also a User Pref, so you can allow a person into Arcadia, by giving them access to it in the User Editor. (Reason I added this, is incase you had an admin/moderator/staff member that wasn't a god, so he/she could have access to the village).

Edited it, so that you can now ban a player from it via a pref.

My only question with a module like this is how do you keep these players from quitting to the fields or timing out while in this restricted access area? Smaller players love to suicide on them, and to keep them out of bounds is certainly not fair.

I am not sure if Dhampir still posts since this thread is almost a year old. But for what it's worth, Kendaer and I were unable to come up with any clean way of preventing players timing out in Esoterra. You could hack it together with a query run on newday-runonce, I suppose, relocating those players elsewhere, but until that query ran they'd be asleep wherever they timed out. You could also consider a newday hook that penalised them for sleeping there. They wake up covered in guano, lose charm and half their hitpoints? Get create perhaps?

i'm having a problem linking up shops to the settings for Aracadia.

Right now it looks like the only modules you can use in Arcadia are the ones that have their own php showing up in the nav bar.  Like the Inn shows up as /inn.php

Many of the shops and such point to runmodule.php and that's where the problem lies. Anything like that does not seem to be able to be placed into the City of Aracadia.

Does anyone know of a way around this problem?

Look at the module file and see what it uses for the village link,
eg. "runmodule.php?module=whatevermodule"
or
"runmodule.php?module=whatevermodule&op=enter"
or whatever it says.

Thats what you use.(without the quotes)

That did the trick!  Thanks!  It seems so easy, now that you say it....ahhhh, code sometimes still baffles me....I'm still, at best, intermediate-level at it.
