Want an extra advantage for using the Human race?

The Werewolf race is not like the others.  You can't choose it normally.. but Humans can turn into one during two or more full moons!  (because of this, the moons module is required)

Human race players have a 33% chance of transforming into a Werewolf on newday during two or more full moons.  They will stay that way for a number of game days (configurable, default is 5), or if they DK or change race (with Transmutation Potion, for example).  Werewolves gain extra attack.

Admin Settings:

- Number of game days the player will stay a Werewolf before changing back to Human (default 5, range 1-10)

- Whether or not Werewolves will have a bounty placed on their head upon transforming (default yes)

- Amount of bounty to place (500 - 2500, default 1500)

There may be a few bugs left, but after a lot of testing I think I've ironed them out.

Enjoy!

I'm missing something here...

All humans have this chance or only those who are actually werewolves?  How exactly do you choose to be a werewolf?

If you didn't understand anything in the above post, don't try to attempt anything suggested.

Yeah, it's a pretty small chance overall (having two moons be full PLUS a 33% chance of changing), but I think it's worth it to give a bonus to the Human race. Tongue

Small update to 1.01, same link as above.  Fixed one tiny problem I found.

This might be better as not a race. Perhaps it could be a forest or travel event in which the character can be bitten by a werewolf {badguy}. They then could have a chance of contracting Lyncanthropy, upon which the full moons change them automatically. You could even toss in a small chance, modified by Dragon Kills that the character can control it, in which case you could tie in the actual werewolf race. Also, those that can't control it (the majority), will have to order a special potion from Cedrick to be turned back into a full human. Also, they should become wanted by the Sheriff if the Jail module is installed. Lastly, they should have a chance of a random bounty to be set upon their heads, based upon their overall power.

What do you think?

Oh, I like the idea of the module.  Not too keen on every human turning into a werewolf though.  Maybe they have to get bit by one in the forest before they are able to choose the race.  RPGSL has some good ideas as well.

I just can't see using this the way it is.  But that is just personal preference.

Big update to 1.03, same link:

http://dragonprime.net/users/Enhas/racewerewolf.txt

I've added a new setting.  You can now enable or disable whether Werewolves have a bounty placed on them when they first transform.  If enabled, you can also set the bounty amount (from 500-2500 gold, default 1500).

Just to clarify how everything is supposed to work (please pay attention):

- Install the 'rabidwerewolf' module.  It is required for this to work.  Rabid Werewolf is a Forest Special in which you meet up with a Werewolf that you have to defeat to continue.

- You have a 50% chance of being bitten by the Rabid Werewolf.  If so, a pref gets set telling the game that you are able to transform.  The pref will stay set over DKs, race changes.. because if it didn't the chance of actually becoming a Werewolf would be far too low.

- If you are Human and you have the cantransform pref set (by being bitten), and there are two or more full moons, you have a 33% chance of transforming into a Werewolf on newday for a number of days (default 5, configurable, and this is PER PLAYER and not the whole race), or until you DK or otherwise change race.  The cantransform pref is then unset, so you can only become a Werewolf once unless you get bit again.

- If enabled, you will have a bounty set on you when you first transform (default 1500, configurable).

isnt this warewolf/human race almost exactly the same as the canine race - exept the obvious - (humans not canine)
Huh

doesnt seem worth having 2 races that did that and im not to keen on the whole biten by thing might turn into thing sorta like the ice lizzard race and the bolt of blue light thing were you turn into a ice lizzard untill you DK - which i hate personally

I think you might want to have it so there is an antidote somewhere?  Some players might not WANT to become a werewolf...
I get complaints from players who don't want to be villageidiots or anything, but that's mostly temporary, where I'm getting the drift this is pernament?
If it is, it probably shouldn't be...
