A Forest Special in which the player finds a mythical well called the Well of Enutorf, with good or bad results.  Lots of outcomes!

COMPLETE at version 1.25c, I've tested this fully and found no bugs.  Please enjoy my module!

Features:

- Can throw 1, 2, or 3 gems into the well, with varying results. Generally, the more you throw, the better results and better chance you have.  There's pretty good incentive to spend gems here, if you have some extra!

Admin configurable:

- Whether donation (Lodge) points can be gained from this event
- The number of donation points a player can gain (only has effect if the above setting is set to Yes)

Enjoy!

Several things need to be fixed in this module, namely:

Be sure to close ALL {}

You had several missing, which caused for the case errors. Might I suggest Editplus, which contains a matching brace function. As well, many current text editors should have this function. Smiley Good Luck.

If you didn't understand anything in the above post, don't try to attempt anything suggested.

The donorpoint-thing should be a setting and not a pref... otherwise you have to disbale it for every player...

Also the amount of gems seems a bit high (4 to 8 gems with a chance of 8%)

but the rest seems good Smiley

Okay, thanks everyone for trying it / fixing some stuff for me, especially R4000.

I've moved donorenabled to settings.

I've noticed that a lot of the cases were removed, it makes things a lot riskier (and more fun) than I intended.  Thanks!  I might add a few cases back though.

And, 4-8 gem reward isn't much, since you have to pay 3 to be able to get that outcome, you'd only really be getting 1-5 more than you started with.

Edit: Version 1.05, shouldn't be anything wrong with it now (I hope), and I added some cases back in.

It's still pretty risky, especially on lower gem numbers given.

I put less risk (but still chance of something bad though) with the more gems you pay.. you get what you pay for!  Tongue

Edit: Changed a few settings (mainly the randomizer for the gold outcome, I didn't feel it was enough).

Edit: Now version 1.1, more stuff edited, most likely final version unless there's more bugs.

Update: Version 1.11, same link above.  Fixed some output results  / colors.  Final version unless any bugs are found.

Enjoy!

I cant see anything wrong!

Nice work

Three outcomes i got on testing: (1gem+2+3)
Quote
Something Special!
You toss a gem into the well, and ...

A vapor of gas emerges from the well and forms itself into the shape of a man.
You seem to be frozen in place!
The being glides towards you, and everything quickly goes black.
When you come to, the gas being is standing over you!
The gas being looks at you for a moment, in thanks for freeing it from the confines of the well.
You give it a wave as it fades away.
You feel happy at having freed the lost spirit!

Something Special!
You toss two gems into the well, and ...

Nothing happens!
What a shame!
You walk away, wondering if your luck will be better another day.

Something Special!
You toss three gems into the well, and ...

A small flask suddenly appears on the pedestal!
You take it into your hands, pop the cork, and drink the contents down.
This is the best thing you have ever tasted!
You gain three forest fights!

After deeper testing i noticed this:

Code:
Something Special!
You toss three gems into the well, and ...

A small flask suddenly appears on the pedestal!
You take it into your hands, pop the cork, and drink the contents down.
It tastes a bit sour, but you feel a little bit more experienced than before!
You have gained 0 experience!

If im gonna gain nothing why even tell me i am? Tongue

Just to make you angry... Wink

This will only happen, if you have this event on the very first forest fight after a dragonkill... Wink
maybe there should be a "$gain = max(1, $gain);" somewehere... to give them at least one point...

even more frustating.. hehe... *evilgrin*

Yeah, I should have a set amount to gain, but I'm not sure about the exp loss event.

Maybe I should put the exp gain up to 10% instead of 5%, so even if you only had 1 exp point you'd gain or lose 1. Tongue

But if someone still has zero though..

My addon for it!

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Then you should have a troll jump out of the well sometimes and attack you!

Enjoy.
