as i recently spent some time in the company of ramius in shades it occured to me that there isn't a clock or other means of knowing how much time remains before a new day.

a player has to log out of the game to get the current status of the time.  tis most annoying if ye ask me.

so, is there any reason why that a clock couldn't be implemented in shades?

Perhaps 'tis because shades is a place of Limbo, where one might spend an Eternity, or not.  Yet time is ne'er of the essence there, indeed, it has little meaning.

A chronometer within shades would merely make the visit more enjoyable...and really...why would Ramius encourage that?  Grin

Per your question, there is no reason one can't be added except for roleplay reasons.

For example my server does have a clock in the shades...but just for the simple reason I die so much I like to keep up =p

::rolls her eyes as she walks past talisman and shakes her head with a wicked grin::

ye really are a clever smartass, m'lord!

my reason for asking is in conjunction with arune's reason for obviously having one.

if a player spends an inordinate amount of time in the company of ramius, such as i have had the displeasure of, then ran out of my whiskey and am in need of a refill from cedrik, i would like to know how much longer i must sit and cool my heels.

depending upon the server the player tends to frequent, there is still an opportunity to roleplay from shades if others speak through a mirror, trance or what have you.  so, being in shades does not entirely commit one to a state of limbo even if the torments performed that day do not render the favor necessary to have ramius grant resurrection.

tis simply a question and a request that i believe some of us addicted players would greatly appreciate.
