Go to the admin grotto -> game settings -> search for the tab named "General Combat" -> There you can enable auto fighting.

forgive me for asking, but it seems as though the lotgd 1.0.2 does not allow much in the way of allowing this one... I can see the setting. Once I tell it yes, it says "settings saved" or it's equivalent and nothing changes.

There are a few other settings like that, an example will be the ye old mail... I can set the numbers, hit save and it still says 0 but it did accept the change...

Is there a way too manually add the automatic fighting... I tried it on my pc, and on another server... One local (as in my pc) and the other remote... Full access via MYSQL and all is set up right.. Just seems a little odd in my case...

If this has been answerd in another topic, in regards too my question please, can you direct me too the approprate topic... Otherwise, if you have an suggestions... I am all ears...

Code:
UPDATE settings SET value = 1 WHERE setting IN ('autofight', 'autofightfull')

This should manually set the settings to allow for

a) fight for 5 or 10 rounds
b) fight enemies until the first one dies

Well, that's the SQL-call you have to either execute via phpmyadmin or the "Run raw SQL" link in the superuser grotto...

well, it seems too be no workin... and i am not really sure why..

is there perhaps another way too do this? i try too run raw SQl in lotgd and it just does nothing... PHP says parse error when in same window

And on the phpadmin... says 0 rows thing.. as in it found zero rows too change...

Sorry if I seem stupid...

Normally you just go to "Game Settings" and edit and save them... works fine for me...

I'm having this same problem under "Game Settings" on my server. None of the settings will change even though it says "Settings Saved." when I push save. I'm pretty sure that all the settings that won't change for me are pulldown menus. By the way, if there is any chance differences in browsers are causing these problems, I use IE, if that helps.

I think this might be caused by another problem addressed here

My problem with this is, i have no button in the userprefs to acticate the autofight until the end, and so none of my uses can use it.

edit: or i thought somebody could make a module of that^^

It is not a user pref.

It is a game setting.
