It is with the greatest and utmost pleasure that I make this announcement today!

With more than a year of hard work by Eric and myself, not to mention the various people here who have contributed code, and the mod staff on central who have contributed code and ideas and modules, we have deemed the code 'ready'.

Therefore, without further ado, I give you the next OFFICIAL release of LotGD, lotgd-1.0.0.

You can find the tar file in the usual place (currently still labeled as 'Latest Pre-Release .0.9.8 to the left), and it will be posted to source forge sometime in a few moments.

Please take a moment to reflect on all the work and effort that has gone into this code, and to thank yourselves for the community and support that in the end, made this possible.

Enjoy!

:fires the cork from the bubbly into the ceiling before filling glasses to pass around.

Congratulations, and a big thanks to Eric, Kendaer, and all the others who have brought LoTGD this far!

I don't drink, but I still raise a glass.  Thank you for sharing your work with the community and thanks for not killing me, or any of us in times of frustration. Grin

And of course, I completely forgot to mention some of the new things.

Some of them you've heard me talk about previous... Such as the title editor (with many thanks to Lonny for the original version which I then whanged into what I wanted Wink), events during travel, many many little bug fixes and code cleanups, many many grammer/spelling/punctuation fixes (sorry to all the translators who now have more work), debug stack traces if your version of PHP supports them when you get serious errors (including the ability to email the admin), notification on PHP notices (things like a missing array index, or an undefined variable) which is turned on only if you have the DEBUG flag and a flag to get these notices (Please if you turn this on, and get notices in the core modules or code, PLEASE let me know so they can get fixed.. I've fixed all the ones I've found, but there are always more Smiley -- this makes a great debugging tool too, turn it on the first few times you go through a new module you are working on and you'll catch LOTS of stupid mistakes!), a new lodge buy, avatars, with custom art-work for the core races (Please note, this will NOT work very well with non-core races and if you run a lot of them, you probably don't want to use this module!).

There are probably other things which have changed that I'm not remembering right now, but those above are the things I consider the big ones.

I take the credit for not believing travel specials could not be done easily. I then played about, broke some code, Booger showed me how to fix it, I broke it some more, Kendaer banged his head on the desk. And all I proved is that it wasn't easy and Kendaer was right... haha.

But then Eric heard what I had tried to do and nutted it out by fixing the obstacles in some other way. Oh well... thanks guys, you all deserve a whopper of a Huzzah! etc.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, thank you to all that put their heart and soul into this. This by far is the best rpg project and community!

Thank you so much!

No, I fully intend to keep releasing new versions as things get added, etc..  This just marks the next 'officially supported' release Smiley

Robert,
(this is a repeat of what I posted to the sourceforge forum)

That function (loadtemplate()) is defined in lib/pageparts.php.
lib/pageparts.php is included globally via a require_once statement in common.php.

Check your common.php, if it doesn't include the line require_once("lib/pageparts.php"); then you have something wrong and didn't upload the new version of common.php.

If it is there, check the permissions on the files and make sure that all of the files in the installation are readable by your webserver.
