hi @ all,
Is it possible to make a module 4 version 0.98 to get children!?
I mean it is possible to marry s.o.  Is it possible to get a Child together!?

And the parents have to Feed the child and play with him, otherwise the child will die.
And is it possible to let the child grow up!?
So that if he is out of age  he will move out!?

Thx 4 help

I've also thought of somthing like this, but more -adoption. Alot of my players are couples, and have 'children', but it would be nice if they had to pay child support if partents divorce and such. then there would have to be somthing like 'age' wouldn't there?

I'd only support this if it involved a live childbirth in the gardens.

Forgive my facetiousness. I don't believe a "reproduce" module exists. Feel free to code it... but it seems a bit excessive to me.

mmmm...
think of the possiblities though...

- player flirts with another player
- players get married
- players share a house
- players are blessed with a child
- both players lose 95% of all gold and gems each and every new day supporting the little brat till they are old enough to move out .....

And of course they'll be too busy changing diapers and cleaning up after the kid to go out and hunt dragons and things

mmmm ... if they have the hunger, thirst and odor mods installed, there could be some interesting outcomes

LoRD had kids and it was a far simpler game than LotGD.  It also wasn't NeoPets.

If children were handled like LoRD, then I'd be all for it.  Frankly, I'd suggest this in the Marriage thread as part of that module.

But then, someone should consider, that new farmies will become the children of some advanced players... Hmm... another kind of training...

I'd throw in a suggestion for family names then... (There must be a way to get this $%"$& name suffix... Grin)

BTW: This should be an independent module... not part of the (quiet large) marriage module...

Players being kids of other players?

I don't know if I'd go that far.

In LoRD, each new day that you are married, you have a slight chance of having a kid.  For each kid you have, you get an extra forest fight each day.

It should be as simple as that, with perhaps some added cost to upkeep your kids.

Maybe when a child gets old enough to leave home, if a user refers another user, that user can choose to get that child as his/her username, and have the fact that he/she is a part of that family in his/her bio.

:simply shakes her head

ye know, there are some things that are just better off left to being roleplayed. personally i find this concept to be a bit excessive, but to each their own.

no doubt, if coded it would be used in some games. just shan't be making an appearance on my server.

If you are going to code a module with kids you may as well make a family tree so kids can have kids of there on. Tongue  And thats when you will need family names and if you marry a women in a family tree already that family tree will be messed up  Grin a lose lose situation

I saw the 'relation' option for Marriage in the admin.  Would it be possible to expand that to 'bro/sis/child/mistress/dominatrix' option for those that wish to RP that?

(it's Friday, just laugh.  Grin )
