Is there going to be any support for colours in your 'lib/titles.php' script.

There already is!

Code:
1=>array("`\$Squire`&", "`\$Squire`&"),

Works fine in my server...

That has been discussed in various circles a few times, lonny...would be good to actually see it done.

I've got
`^F`@a`^r`@m`^b`@o`^y, and each time a user changes their title, it ends up as (example) '`^F`@a`^r`@m`^b`@o`^yy'

sounds like a too long title. use less colours =P

edit: if that's the case, you should find the extra letters in the name field

I think Kendear mentioned that it was on his todo list but if anyone wanted to do it and post the code he would have a look at it.

This is so low on my personal todo list that it's really unlikely to ever get done unless someone else does it.  If someone else does it, I'll consider it for inclusion into the core though.

BTW, this is *not* something that could/should be done as a module (just in case anyone was confused on that score)

I'm about 90% done coding the titles into a database table..... Have a few more safeguards to build in so everyone doesn't "bork" (thanks for that word Sixf00t4) your tables....

I don't know if you (Kendaer) want it to work this way, but I will submit it with autobuild of the new system at first activation of the title editor.... and have coded the title.php to use the old system until the title editor is activated.  Hopefully this way on upgrade the game will not break.  It does import all of the current titles into the table upon first activation.  So those of you with a bunch of custom titles would be able to copy and paste into the new code and then activate the title editor to import all of your custom titles.  Hopefully this was the right way to go about this.

Might also want to think about a bitmask (lib/constants.php) and modification to the user.php and superuser.php to include a new flag, or such.

Just my 2.

If you didn't understand anything in the above post, don't try to attempt anything suggested.

just to chime in for XChrisX, he's looking for custom suffix support... http://dragonprime.net/index.php?board=14;action=display;threadid=1835;boardseen=1

dunno if that would comprimise core eligability or not, but may be a worthy cause.

The scheme I used simply uses a modified titles.php that if the titles table exists will build the title array from that table, if not it builds from the original array.  This should make upgrading painless.  It also allows you to copy and paste any customizations you have made into titles.php BEFORE running the editor to import those titles along with/instead of the stock titles.  That should reduce the pain of upgrading quite a bit...  The toughest part of this was handling the id (dragon kills) to re-number properly when deleting/inserting titles.  I believe I have this handled properly at this point and have submited the code to Kendaer for critique......

Based on what Lonny sent me, there is now something in the core.

I changed a few things lonny Smiley
I'll wait on saying what I did until I release the next version though (muahahaha)
