I have a number of races installed and for the players i have, i have TOO MANY cities atm

Now i know Enderwiggen (sp?) creates both with and w/o race and that helped some

But here are some ideas id like to see

Choices for city on races that dont have their own (i will be editing amazons/barbarians to come from the icetown) and choice of whether to install the city.
As my server grows i will adding cities and a simple switch would be great for this.

Im not sure how difficult it would be, but im sure someone here can make the template easy enough.

In my shared folder I have editted some of the other races to share cities with other races.  I don't normally openly go out of my to distribute them, as the original author should be able to keep their official version without a bunch of alternate copies floating around.  And some that already shared cities, I moved to a different city that made more sense.  For instance, I have the Drow and Dark Elves living together.  I have the Halflings and Gnomes living together, etc.

However, you might consider looking at some of the changed races I have in my folder.

Perhaps another way this could be phrased is: can a race be edited to make use of a prexisting city with no race at all attached to it. From my pouring over printouts (yeah, I'm weird, phofire can attest to it) is that most cities are created from settings within the race file.  Is there a way to edit $city to recognize oh say icetown.php?

You could probably write around, in order to tie race to city, rather than city to race.

You would need to check if the city is active, if so, then make it the person's homecity (which is stored in a pref, of the cities.php) This should also be in effect for all of that single race.

Then it will check, when needed:
$home = $session['user']['location']==get_module_pref("homecity");

If you didn't understand anything in the above post, don't try to attempt anything suggested.
