I have a question regarding the game settings.......

At the moment I have a player who seems to be racing through the ranks like lightning.  It seems a little too fast to me, however, I can't for the life of me think how me might be cheating in any way.  I imagine it has something to do with an unbalanced portion of the modules I am running.  What I am trying to do is to go bck through the debuglog to determine where he has gone and how he has been doing this, but the debuglog table seems to only contain the most recent 30 rows......

I am a little hesitant about modifying any core code in my installation, and I do not see a specific setting under content expiration for the debug log content.  I am wondering if there is a way to record the debuglog for a longer period of time for tracking things like this....

After posting this question, I got to chatting with Kendaer and others on IRc, and it turns out this was a setting problem I had made.....

Thank you everyone for your help!

May I ask which setting you changed?  I'm a fairly new admin myself, and I have a potential exploit in my settings, I'd like to know.

As it turns out.....it was the setting for how long to keep comments and news.  In the superuser grotto under game settings, content expiration.

The problem I was having is that I didn't realize that the same setting for comments and news was also used for the debuglog setting, so I was looking for a setting that wasn't really there.  On IRC today Kendaer explained to me how it worked.  I had the setting for that set to 3 days, since I didn't want the comments and news piling up like crazy....and that affected the debuglog.

As Kendaer explained it......the debuglog core setting takes the expirecontent setting (which is the setting for expiry of news/comments) and divides it by 10.  So if your game settings for expiry of news and comments are set to 10 days, then your debuglog will be kept for one day........However long you want to keep the debuglog, you multiply it by 10 and set that as the number of days in keep comments and news.

I hope that made sense.....
