Apparently I'm stupid.  I want to use tne of newer templates like vancwest as the default templates when someone visits the site.  Since the default is jade, I used a text editor and did a Search in Files, and I found 2 files in the main logd directory that referred to jade.html, which I promptly changed to vancwest.  Yet, that didn't change the default template.  vancwest is selected in the drop-down box, but jade is still loading.

And yes, I have cleared all my cookies.

First off, what am I missing?  Secondly, I'm really not a big fan of changing core files, because those changes will get lost with each new prerelease, or update.  Would it be possible to have this as a game setting in a future prerelease?  It only makes sense that with all the effort to make .9.8 easily customizable that we should allow admins to easily change the default appearance of their game without altering core files.

Lastly, on a tangent I have another suggestion.  Could we put allow-anonymous in the FAQ so that it can show up as a link on the home page?

There are three files that you need to edit.

home.php
lib/pageparts.php
lib/template.php

I do believe that they plan on making it a game setting eventually.

As for the FAQ part, sure. Why not? Tongue

Actually..

In order to make it the default the only one you need to change is template.php.

Changing home.php only tells it which one to display as the first in the pulldown.

pageparts.php only tells it on error load = ""

But, why not do all, and just be complete? Tongue

My editor probably only checked the files in the main directory, because it didn't pull up anything from the lib directory.  I'll change the other two when I get home from work.

Thanks!

Only reason I said was because he said he disliked making changes to core when they are going to be erased in the near future.

Every PR its easier to remember to change one file..

And if you are changing to a template that is not part of the core it is probably best that on error it points to a working core template.

Home.php - Only reason I'd see changing this is just for sake of changing it.

Don't you hate it when people use logic?  It almost always catches me off-guard.
