Hi all,
Just was had a thoult, I run both a Postnuke gaming site and a LotGD site on the same server (for now) and just wanted to know if any one knew of a way that I could call info (ie, Players online, and such) from LotGD into a PHP block in Postnuke. I am going to try  some things out but I thoult I would stop by and see if any one els has done this or knows of the best way to do it.

I hope I have posted this in the right forum if not feel free to move it or shout at me  Tongue

Thanks for any help

If they are on the same DB, I believe you can do it, by using the PHP function:
Code:
mysql_connect("databasename","username","password")

That would play out like:
Code:
<?php
$conn
=mysql_connect("databasename","username","password")
if (!
$conn)
{
exit(
"Connection Failed: " $conn);

$sql "SELECT * FROM accounts"
$rs mysql_exec($conn,$sql);
if (!
$rs)

exit(
"Error in SQL");

echo
"<table><tr>";
echo
"<th>Name</th></tr>";
while (
mysql_fetch_row($rs))
{
$name mysql_result($rs,"name");
echo
"<tr><td>$name</td>";
echo
"</tr>";
}
mysql_close($conn);
echo
"</table>";
?>

Although, I recommend NOT going this. As this a)May not work or b)Could open a can of worms.

Isn't there a LoGD module for RSS feeds?  Can't you put a RSS feed right into a PHP Nuke block?

Thanks for the input, I forgot to say we where unsing vir 97, but over the last week I have been running 98-13 on our test home server and all I can say is Holy C@&p what a fine job is being done. I can not understand why any one would not want to move on to 98 maybe if there 97vir has so meny Mods/hacks in it that there members want to stay with it but for me 98 feels so much better I am going go with that.

I do have one or two probs but I will make a new post for them only to say here about the RSS feeds that thay dont seem to want to work in my RSS blocks on the Postnuke site Ho Hum.

But I would just like to add a big thumbs up to the LotGD devs on making a Good game better keep up the good work cant wait till 98-pr14 and on Smiley
