Clan War:
  • Allows you to start a war
  • A nuclear war;)
  • At the l..o..t..g..d
I haven't tested this much, I wanted to get this out for perdition.
I have another 2 modules to go with this, so it's named pack, even though they aren't done yet;).

As Sneakabout is already working on such a thing, as well as a revamping of the Clan Code, I wouldn't suggest something like this, as it will just be taken over in a little bit down the line.

I believe he said the revamping will include things that are kept under wraps for now.

For now, this will suffice.

If you didn't understand anything in the above post, don't try to attempt anything suggested.

This is actually another well thought out module.

Skimming through it I noticed on (to me) glaring problem, on the battle-defeat hook, you treat everything that isn't a pvp fight as a forest fight.  This means if you lose a trainer fight or a dragon fight, or a lonestrider fight or a travel fight, you are treating it like a forest fight and that's probably not what you want Smiley

Remember that there are in fact many types of fights and be more selective.

You might want to only restrict clanmembers who have chosen a side from sleeping in the inn as well.. Seems kind of unfair to restrict those players from clans who aren't participating or who don't want to be in a clan at all.

This is probably not a candidate for core inclusion though I could probably be talked into it if it was given a bit more polish.

Ok, sure:)
I'll fix the stuff with the inn, and I'll try to fix the forest fight stuff:)
I designed this specifically for Perditions site as he'd already announced a clanwar, and then I decided I may as well release it.
I've already got 5 modules just about ready for the clanpack including something that hooks into the bloodbank

I've got a 'clan pennants' thing just about done, and I've put fareast on hold.
Clan pennants allows clans to hire tailors to make standards, and if clan armour/weapons is installed, the tailor will appear there instead of the footer-clan.

I don't know if it's something particular with mine, but when this is *activate* i get
Code:
Module 1 was not found in the modules directory.
below the content of the screen.  Deactivated, and it goes away.

I got that same thing when I installed the magic mirror mod. Didn't have time to investigate it though.

I've had this reported with clanwar, but haven't had anything reported from magicmirror whatsoever.
I've also had module 256 reported, and I got them about 3 hours ago, so I'm fixing now.
However, the only reports for module 1 are in the grotto, wheras 256 appears randomly.... weird!

Weird!
Clanwars mirror should only work if it's installed. Clanwars will just ignore it, if not. I don't see why it should throw up an error, clanwars edits no part of magicmirrors settings, only works from them if it's installed.

Heya...after installing the clan wars mod it all seemed to be going fine until I attempted to align a guild to a side...the popup window stayed white and didn't seem to do anything - even after doublechecking the guild clan war status...I am thinking that it is a SQL issue regarding clanid or something but it all seems to be in order..

Does anyone have any ideas??

The align doesn't use any sql queries, I'll check it now.
Edit: Fixed.
