does anyone know how to edit the 9.8 clan php so it works on 9.7

Read the version 98 license.  It specifically prohibits conversion of .98 code for use in .97 servers.  DO NOT DO IT!

Also, once again, for a new topic post a new thread - don't just tack it onto an existing and entirely unrelated thread.

No.

Module manager is a new feature in 0.9.8.  The entire structure of the code had to change to support it.
