I just upgraded to pre13 with a fresh install and it has been so long since I actually made changes to add cities that I have totaly forgoten how to do it. Where abouts it the area to add cities? I can't seem to find it in either the multiple cities od, or the worldmap mod when I have them installed.

you can not directly "add" a city. Some races have cities, so you might have to add a new race to get a new city(I know that there are some city modules as well... look into the ice city module for instance )

well I remember vaguely that there are some mysql entries that I need to add. I just forgot where. I want a very large map that has anywhere from 25-50 cities. In the last itteration, I added a z coordinate that added map levels so that people could go "under ground" or to another map area making it seem larger so I don't have to have a 50X50 map on screen.
I guess I just have to stary way over again. Thats cool though, that was kind of what I was looking for anyways when I wiped everything clean.

I am working on a module that can be used as a template for cities without races.  It will be ready soon.  other than that you have to have cities.php module for cities to work.

make sure you actually have the modules installed and activated.  They should work without any additional input on your part.

The worldmap you will need someone else to help you with that.  I haven't used it yet.

dannic and alagos are right, you do not need to make any changes to the database!

just have a look at the race modules and there you'll find your answers ... Smiley
